How come the difference from pre movie to post movie is far more drastic than the difference between season 5 and 6?

We still don’t know why markerbob was axed after 2002.
It's strange the thing about in season 6 they used Toon Boom. Season 5 and 6 are similar (and also same animation for me) I think only Truth Or Square used Toon Boom.

The coloring and line quality are very bad in Krusty Love:

SpongeBob isn't even remotely close to his original shade of yellow. I wonder how the colorists at rough draft screwed it up so badly:

‘Frankendoodle’ and ‘Sailor Mouth’ also had very bad colouring, which caused SpongeBob to look a darker shade of yellow. The broadcast prints also have very bad dot crawl...

Also, SpongeBob looks season 1 in these screenshots, especially in the below one.

SpongeBob has his inward cheeks in a few shots in ‘Walking Small’:

There were a few instances in late season 1 were SpongeBob had his inward cheeks. ‘Walking Small’ was in production in January 2000, which was after the storyboard for ‘Big Pink Loser’ was completed in November 1999. This gives further proof that some late season 1 and early season 2 episodes were being produced at the same time.

Here’s my theory on the production of ‘Help Wanted’:

December 1996 - After the cancellation of Rocko’s Modern Life, the first revision of the SpongeBob series bible is created. At the time, the series was still called SpongeBoy Ahoy!.

17 January 1997 - The second revision of the series bible is created, and it contains rough versions of ‘Jellyfishing’, ‘Reef Blower’, ‘Squeaky Boots’, ‘Bubblestand’ and ‘Employee of the Month’.

February 1997 - The third revision of the series bible is created.

March 1997 - The script for the pilot episode is written.

April 1997 - The rough storyboard for the pilot episode is created.

May 1997 - The voice acting for the pilot episode is recorded.

3 June 1997 - The final storyboard for the pilot episode is created.

July-October 1997 - The pilot was being animated during this time period.

November 1997 - The main character’s name is changed to SpongeBob.

December 1997 - The original 1997 version of the pilot episode is completed.

March 1999 - The revised 1999 version of the pilot episode is completed.
revised version was on april 26, 1999

How do you know that? I know the packaging order for season 1 was created in April 1999.

The SpongeBob fandom says that season 1 was produced from September 1998 to February 1999, though it says that it needs a citation:

Now if animation for Season 1 episodes were still going on by that point, either Season 1 would've switched to digital or some scenes of Season 2 would have been cel animated.

Why does Original Raw and Uncut think old cel-animated shows used flatbed editors and no computers for post-production? In one thread, he said that even some digital shows during the early 2000s converted the computer files to flatbeds, so they could be aired on television.

i used to be in a server that was run by a guy who had a lot of sb production info, and it said that was the day it was finally shipped

and the sep98-to feb 99 dates can't be true, the episodes were in production for way longer than that, a lot of the first few season 1 episodes were pitched as early as mid1998

Can you tell more production info that you’ve got from him?
24 and 25 were shipped on 10/16/00
43-47 were shipped between sep 2001 and jan 2002
Just One Bite recut was shipped in Nov 2001
52 was shipped on 4/29/02
60 was shipped on 8/9/02
61 was shipped on 2/4/05 (same day it was confirmed on sbm...)

and there were other people who had info too
Did they also know how season 1 was edited and shown? Which of the following methods did they probably use for season 1?
  1. Edited on flatbeds and broadcast from film
  2. Edited on flatbeds and broadcast from videotape
  3. Edited on videotape and broadcast from videotape
  4. Edited digitally and broadcast from film
  5. Edited digitally and broadcast from videotape
  6. Edited digitally and broadcast from digital files
