That's not entirely accurate. Cel animation also has shadows under the characters and looks blurrier and looks more grainy.
To be fair this was part of the product, i have to search for the complete drawing i done

It still looks digital. SpongeBob’s color hasn’t changed. He’s more of a tan ish yellow in season 1
I've traced the scene over in paint.net, used the color/colour palette from SpongeBob's model sheet and then darkened the colors/colours, and then i added noise and blur, all to make it look cel-animated.

You should use FireAlpaca, it's more easier to draw with and its better, it would be a lot less work if you just color drop from a season 1 episode

I always wonder why Big Pink Loser uses Patrick's season 1 model,

Here's my old Imitation Krabs in Cel Animation drawing. Now I added some grain to it.remaster.jpg

You also said my artwork lacks shadows under the characters and looks blurrier and looks more grainy. But you didn't really do that yourself
I tried to add the shadows by using the Highlights / Shadows setting in paint.net, set the clarity to -100, and set the radius to 2,00.

The episode probably began production while they were still working on season 1
But isn't it weird to make a Digital ink and paint episode then go back to cel animation? but i would believe Hooky was made right before Big Pink Loser

The last few cel animated episodes I’m guessing were packaged as season 1 to keep the entire season consistent. I don’t think any digital episodes were finished before any cel animated episodes, I think they just overlapped production at the end, so they ended up packaging the last few cel animated episodes as season 1 and the first digital episodes they completed were signed off as part of season 2. The designs of the characters are also dependent on the storyboards, not the final draft. Big Pink Loser most likely started production at the end of season 1, but wasn’t finished until the rest of that season was complete.

It’s the reverse scenario to how the season eight holdovers (Super Evil Aquatic Team Up- Hello Bikini Bottom) which were in SD but overlapped production with the beginning of season 9A (which is in HD). The episodes were conceived during the production cycle of season 8, but were kept in SD despite some of them overlapping with 9A due to the fact that they wanted to keep those episodes consistent with the rest of the season.
