The 2011 Uncle Grandpa pilot is starting to look a little outdated. The lines are rougher and everything looks less polished. Reeks of late 00's/early 2010s animation quality.

Why do people like markerbob, but they think season 7/8 on model animation is horrible?

I'd say there are 2 reasons:

1. The markerbob episodes stay fluent, while seasons 7-8 use the fact that it's on-model as an excuse to be stiff.
2. The markerbob episodes don't look bland, but seasons 7-8 do.

The Pokemon spin-off franchise Pokemon Mystery Dungeon practically evolved from 2D to 3D in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity so it basically took a while Heres a source.

As you may notice DX specializes in a more comic book-like texture unlike Gates to Infinity Super Mystery Dungeon basically recycled Gates to Infinity's art style. Which was pretty lazy. Probably because both games were released on the nintendo ds.

The SpongeBob Pearl and Dean intro came out in 2008, yet it looks much better coloring and outline-wise than Season 5 and 6, it looks more like Season 9B.
