This PSA from 2003 uses stock footage from the cel animated seasons instead of Savino. It also uses the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia music 2 years before the show came out. You can tell it's from 2003 because of the modern sound and Candi is voicing Dexter.

yeah, early markerbob is the one that looks the most like season 1, but it's my least favourite stage
------
I think the markerbob stages should be split into these to to make the major stages slightly more specific:

Prototype:
Hooky
Karate Choppers
Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy II

Early (very similar to season 1 except digitally coloured):
Bossy Boots
Life of Crime*
Big Pink Loser
Imitation Krabs
*Life of Crime uses the transition markerbob design in a few scenes

Transition (the lines on SpongeBob's body are less rough, but he's still asymmetrical and rectangular):
I'm Your Biggest Fanatic
Dumped
Shanghaied
Pressure
Welcome to the Chum Bucket

Transition 2.0 (this bridges the gap between transition and full markerbob stages):
The Fry Cook Games
I'm With Stupid

Full Markerbob version 1 (can often be distinguished most easily by season 2 colour palette but with SpongeBob being proportionately square):
As Seen on TV*
SpongeBob, Sandy, and the Worm
One Krabs Trash*
Squid on Strike
SpongeGuard on Duty
Snowball Effect
Can You Spare a Dime?*
My Pretty Seahorse

*darker season 3 colours

Full Markerbob version 2 (cooler colour palette, slightly revised design):
The Bully
Krusty Krab Training Video
Squilliam Returns
New Student Starfish
Wet Painters

Full Markerbob version 3 (SpongeBob's inward facing cheeks become way more common):
Missing Identity
Mid-Life Crustacean
Krabby Land
The Camping Episode
Pranks A Lot

How come you didn't include the markerbob sequences during the patchy segments in the season 3 specials? There's also a markerbob kraft mac and cheese commercial.

In traditional cel animation Dexter, his dad has eyebrows, his ears are also connected to his head:

Savino Dexter's Dad has none:

His tie has black stripes in Savino, but yellow stripes in traditional cel animation.

The SpongeBob Pearl and Dean intro came out in 2008, yet it looks much better coloring and outline-wise than Season 5 and 6, it looks more like Season 9B.

In season 1 to about a quarter of the way through season 2, the backgrounds in Dexter's Lab become blank when the camera zooms in on a character speaking. It's not just the Savino seasons that are prone to laziness.
