114a. Dear Vikings

Can somebody explain why the ending of this episode is TERRIBLE?
For me, it's the fact that it's so sudden and doesn't feel like a proper resolution. It looks the writers got bored with the episode and forgot to finish it, and then when they realized they hadn't finished it they just stuck in that "viking-sized adventure" to make it look like an ending when it really wasn't.

I didn't Go into much detail when I reviewed it on The episode's topic so:
OH MY GOD what the ::dolphin noise:: IS THIS CRAP! AlMOST THE WHOLE EPISODE WAS A POINTLESS IDIODIC FILLER. THE VIKINGS WERE TERRIBLE IN THIS EPISODE AND THE ONLY CHARACTER I LIKED WAS SQUIDWARD!
P.S No offense to the people who like it

[mod=DadMom AngryPants]No reason for this discussion not to be in the Dear Vikings thread, so I've merged it[/mod]

Dear Vikings' biggest offense is that it's just horribly unfunny.

The problem is that being unfunny is pretty much the opposite of what any SpongeBob episode should set out to do, and an episode as abhorrent and bland as this didn't really ever need to be made.

This episode is meh at best. My main complaint is that this episode is COMPLETELY CHEESY. The lines are awkward and unfunny and the plot is extremely stupid, but at least this episode has next to no mean spirits.

Honestly I think the episode is so cheesy, it's funny. Most of the episode had me gawking at the screen then guffawing at the following dialogue, saying, "Okay, he really just said that?" Honestly the last line SpongeBob said had me rolling. It was so cheesy and bad, I burst into tears laughing...

Yeah, I think the term I've seen here and there is ZombieBob: not completely awful and mean spirited, not terribly funny, but it had its moments

As an avid history fan, my only complain is that the Vikings have ::dolphin noise:: horns in their helmet.

It's just so dull on the viking's ship that you have to dislike it.

Mind numbingly boring, uncreative and awful episode and it took 9 ::dolphin noise:: minutes to get to the climax where we get this phoned in, shoehorned ending. Nothing funny whatsoever. One of Aaron Springer's worst post-movie episodes. I will give points for the viking designs and how those reminded me so much of Springer's Korgoth of Barbaria pilot but this had so many missed opportunities. This would have been a way better episode if it had been set up like a parody or something and maybe have a lot of action scenes and stuff. 3/10

This episode is too underrated but overrated at the same time. I mean, sure it seemed like one of those filler episodes, but it actually had some good jokes especially the naming of the vikings. I don't know why, but the way the leader viking says his name "Gordon" cracks me up. I just wish that the characters besides Squidward were more likable, but I can excuse the Vikings from this since they're supposed to be like villains. I just wish a more deserving SpongeBob episode like "Suction Cup Symphony" got nominated for an Emmy instead of this one. I'll give it a 6/10.

I Don't Hate This One Anymore Its a Boring Episode With a Bad Ending That's The Only Problem Of This One.At Least Its Not Gross Or Evil Just Boring Also It Has Some Funny Moments Like The Olaf Part 5/10

Season: 6

Episode: Dear Vikings

This episode was terrible. The plot was very unoriginal. Spongebob was really stupid here. The only part i liked was the part were Spongebob saved Squidward. I only liked one joke (the Olaf joke). 3.5/10
