This is a great episode I liked the ending part the best.
 
Mighty mighty bad. The ending was stupid HECK THIS WHOLE EPPY WAS STUPID.
 
I hated this episode and It makes no sense. Why there are vikings in underwater? Also why this episode is Emmy nominated? Ditchin' episode should be Emmy nominated or "The Monster of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein" episode of Phineas and Ferb should won the Emmy. This episode was boring and unfunny. The only funny part was all of vikings' names except the leader's name being Olaf. I don't know why some people didn't like the ending. I thought the ending was good but It was rushed. I also liked the part when SpongeBob saved all vikings. It's not one of the worst season 6 episodes because there are more terrible episodes than this one but that episode is still bad. 4/10
 
This episode doesn't deserve as much hatred as it gets. Like Omair said, it's not kill-me-now bad. Mostly, it's just a boring, unremarkable episode. It has no purpose, no story (at least not a cohesive one), very little humor and no real conclusion. It's not exactly terrible and I can't muster up much anger toward it, it's more like it's nonexistent.

*ahem* Anyway, this episode wasn't as good, but whatever. Just don't think it was necessary for the Vikings just to tie up Squidward like that. :shrug: I don't really know.

4/10. I somewhat agree with PhilipB. The beginning was decent, but sadly, the rest of the episode was as dull as this series could be. Sad, really. If it kept up the pace, it could have been really good.
In terms of Season 6 of course.

Oh and Spongebob vs. the Big One sucks. Sorry, I just had to.

Wow. You know, I wrote that post over four years ago. I had only been on SBM for three months and I was only 15 years old... (or, no, rather, only 14 years old, I hadn't turned even 15 yet)




...and I'd say the same exact thing today. :p

HORRIBLE episode.


1: The jokes fall flat on their face, one example is when the viking leader gets delivered a letter.

2: The WORST, and I mean, WORST ending in Spongebob, ever made.


Trivia, from Spongebob Wiki:
  • Many longtime fans of SpongeBob have called this the worst episode of the series, citing a bad plot and not many good jokes. Ironically, this episode was nominated for a primetime Emmy.


Which brings us to #3....

3: WHY was it nominated for an Emmy? It was HORRIBLE. Not a single good thing about this thing. Like AVGN says, WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
