Some news from Film Thrasher:

In a press release announcing his signing as the director for their 2016 animated feature Trolls, Dreamworks Animation let it slip that Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After) is "currently directing the live-action sequences" for the upcoming sequel The Spongebob Squarepants Movie 2.

Mitchell has a major past with Spongebob Squarepants, directing the live-action sequences for the series between 2005-2007.
