I'm disappointed that they're focusing completely on the CGI superhero part for advertising. The first image, the posters, the merchandise packaging, a Toyota minivan, even the name of the movie, all focused on this one part of the movie. From a marketing standpoint I guess it's understandable (CG and superheroes are both popular) but I still wish they had done something more subtle and clever. Like instead of using the superheroes for marketing they should have kept that part a complete surprise.
Oh well. As long as the movie itself is good, and by going for this cheesy "WOW CGI SUPERHEROES 3D" angle Paramount gets more people to see it, I don't really mind.
