Gravity Falls Season 2

I'll be completely honest, I did not enjoy Love God. It's the only episode of season 2 if not the whole show so far that left a bad taste in my mouth. The main teenage group, especially in the second half of the episode is really meanspirited and Thompson's desperation was far from funny. Also, Robbie being sort of happy like that is really odd to see and it just gives you a weird feeling, the hipster sort of thing the episode's trying to go far, even if it's a parody, is just annoying. And finally, the actual Love God is an unbelievably annoying character who is just a waste of space.

While there were some funny bits (the I Eat Kids balloon made me laugh out loud), the episode overall is just... bad.

Cool find. I had no idea this show had its own page over at AV Club. I've seen ones for Bob's Burgers, Simpsons, Adventure Time, American Dad and Family Guy though. I ought to start commenting there again.

Apparently it'll be about Dipper trying to get a ghost out of Pacifica's mansion. I think this'll be interesting because while Mabel and Pacifica have had their rivalry, Dipper and Pacifica haven't had that much interaction so I can't wait to see how they play off of each other. Plus, who doesn't love a good ghost story? :sbhalloween:

So what do you all think about the new episode plot? I'm excited for it.
 
Putting my thoughts in spoiler tags so anyone who wasn't able to watch tonight isn't spoiled.

I quite enjoyed tonight's episode!

Don't know why the opening theme was rushed...time constraints, perhaps? Dunno. But it seemed weird.

It was definitely creepy in parts. I mean, blood coming out from the stuffed animals in the walls? Yikes. Loved the Ghostbusters reference sprinkled in there. And character development for Pacifica, YES <3 Her parents are the worst, though, especially Mr. Northwest.

The b plot with Mabel, Candy, and Grenda was meh but the whole "tag-team flirting" idea was cute. It got some chuckles out of me though.

McGucket said "something bad" is coming...hmm FORESHADOWING.

I'm not saying where I heard because now I'm not sure but it's a possibility due to a certain interaction in a season one episode.
