Filming of live action scenes

I think i'm starting to have second thoughts for the second movie, so most of the time is going to be up land?

I doubt it. I think people are just getting that impression because all of the news lately has been about the live action scenes, but that's because it's something we can see happening and can easily share photos of. We don't get to see much (if any) of the animation process because it goes on behind closed doors.

It's unlikely to be mostly live action, because the shoot dates for those scenes don't seem long enough for that to be the case (and there are only four scenes listed).
Hmmm...if that's the case, then that only makes the journey to land all the more mysterious (and maybe not as gimmicky as dudester said), but I'm still excited to see what they do with the live-action/animation blending this time.

I'm honestly curious how these live-action segments will tie into the plot. Hopefully they don't feel useless or like they're only there for advertising or anything. In the first film, the live action scenes worked because it added to the conflict. The scene's they've described that they need casting for and stuff honestly kind of sounds like pointless filler. Sure, some of it sounds pretty funny but I hope the movie doesn't stop dead in its tracks for them or anything. I'm still looking forward to it, though.

Also, I'm kind of hoping they make a third one so we can have a nice Spongebob trilogy but, only if they can come up with something original for it obviously.

I hope in the life action scene, some human gets injured because they trip on SB then SB walks all like he doesn't care.

Only me? Man me and my sick humor.

I'm kinda hoping for this too...maybe a third movie can be the way the series will go out with a bang.

"MY LEG"

Or maybe someone picks him up and is all "HAY A DISH THINGY" and uses him to clean off some sandy bucket or bag of chips.

Or they could see some kid's giant bucket and be like "Oh my god the CB has a resturaunt chain now"? Maybe not...

Also i wonder if Sandy will be a part of this? I imagine if she's on land with them, and if they're not trying to save her or something, she might be disproving their alienated/IS THIS A THREAT moments. Like with the beached animal/sunbather thing, i wonder if she'll just be standing there trying to explain its not in danger or whatever :p

A couple of new news videos along with an article

Notes:
  • Downtown Savannah will be called "Beach Street, Anywhere, USA" in the movie.
  • Chase scene will end at the Lucas Theatre.
  • "Inside the space of the former Shipwreck restaurant, production crews are creating a set and a makeshift wall". I saw a photo of this on Twitter a few days ago which I didn't share because I wasn't sure what the context was but now it makes sense. Here it is. They describe it as an ice cream shop, which I hope is true.

I'm starting to have the bad feeling that it's going to end up like the smurfs 2

interesting, i guess the live-action segment might be something to do with that building?
