Tom: From what I’ve heard, there are no plans to recast Mermaid Man and have another guy do it and I was pleased and touched to see that at the end of the movie that the film is dedicated to Ernest Borgnine who was the Oscar and Emmy winning actor who was the voice of Mermaid Man. It was cool to see that dedicated. I loved that. We loved him. They’re retiring his jersey.
I freaking love Tom Kenny for doing this.DadMom AngryPants said:Yahoo! obviously had Tom Kenny in to talk about the movie and although there isn't an interview or anything up yet they just posted this.
SpongeBob Does De Niro
This is hilarious. It's like that video of the SpongeBob cast dubbing classic movies.
I guess if they had asked me, I would have said that it was a little inappropriate. But, obviously they’re trying to appeal to a lot of different people. It’s not that it’s not funny. I just thought the other ones were much more tame and middle of the road. I wish that they’d done a third poster that was a little less adult. I haven't read any of those 50 Shades books, so I don’t know any thing about them. But it’s a little uncomfortable. Again, it just comes from the fact that movies are a different mechanism from a TV show. They do what they think is going to work. I guess they sit back and take their lumps, and hope that it’s not too negative of a reaction. But, I wouldn’t say that I completely embraced that idea.
