For the most part in Driven to Tears, SpongeBob looks like has regular Season 4 design.

But in the later part of the episode, SpongeBob has his Late Season 3 design.

And in the scene where SpongeBob and Patrick become friends again, SpongeBob has his Season 5 design.

Not quite, the outlines would've been wobbly if it were late season 3. Spongebob may have his main season 4 design, but that episode (like many others in late s4) have a season 5 color pallet.

The episodes in Season 5 that use paper storyboards feel more like the style of late Season 4 while the Season 5 episodes with digital storyboards look a bit like Season 6.

Krabs a la mode resembles a season 4 episode while episodes like 20,000 patties under the sea resemble a season 6 episodes

Season 5 also has the fade in credits for some of its earlier episodes (one that I remember that has it is Spy Buddies)

(Basically some episodes of both Seasons 4 and 5 have the fade in credits that the first three seasons used)
