That's all our opinion, let us dance over New SpongeBob's body when we kill him.

Yeah because this is what totally comes to mind when we think of a good Spongebob episode. I love how the writers think Ren and Stimpy could be used in a Spongebob episode. You know, for kids! Uck.
You know that all of Ren and Stimpy except for the spin-off that lasted like 5 episodes was for kids, right? Your sarcasm about it being for kids completely fails when you compare it to a successful kids show that was made for kids and watched by kids and aired on the exact same kids network that SpongeBob does. Yeah, for kids.

Both Ren and Stimpy and The Splinter and great and hilarious for all ages, though. :)

Yeah, no. Deal with the fact that not everyone agrees with you and some of us happen to find hilarious gross-out withamazing amazing animation like this entertaining and funny. You don't have to agree, but we can and do have our own opinions.
Let me tell you something: I like watching Happy Tree Friends, probably one of the goriest cartoons ever made. It is hilarious, not because it's gory but because of the creative ways they kill off the characters while using the gore. This episode isn't creative or funny at all, just boring and a bit cringe-inducing, tbh.

The problem with The Splinter is that there's nothing cartoony about it until the end, and even then we get real life gross stuff like puss, and there's nothing comedic about the whole thing.

It's not a bad episode!! I like it....The ''splinter'' thing didn't bother me, I didn't thought of it as a ''gross'' part of the episode because it is a cartoon....I don't get grossed by a cartoon...However, I must say that this was one of my favourite episodes when I first saw it in 2010...And it is still a good episode for me...It is funny at some parts, and not boring at all for me, something that is good for me if I don't get bored...8.5/10!

This episode left me speechless...how could Spongebob of all things produce an episode like this? How? It's disgusting, uncomfortable, and very unfunny!

Gross out in spongebob never bothered me very much. Though the toenail scene in House Fancy really disturbed me when I first saw the episode I can watch it today without cringing. And, to be, honest this episode never grossed me out very much. But calling this episode on elf the best is a joke. This boring, unpopular, messy episode will always be one the worst created. I will take my utter hate for this crappy episode to my death bed. If I can live my life without ever seeing this "episode" again I will have no regrets. I say this not only as a spongebob fan but as a fan of happiness in general.

I don't really care for this episode that much. It's a meh episode to me. 5/10

Season: 6

Episode: The Splinter

This episode was horrible. I don't hate gross-out humour (that was always kinda a part of Spongebob), but the gross-out in this episode was really gross. Squidward and Patrick were both jerks in this episode (squidward even more because Patrick at least TRIED to help). There were few funny jokes. 2/10

i like this episode.

I do.

The gross out could be pushing it at points, but I think it's relatable to how painful splinters are. Also, I thought Squidward was pretty funny in this episode. But, I don't know about Patrick.....

The issue with this episode is not the fact that its gross, it's the fact that its awful. It's starts out with Spongebob in the kitchen and it gives a ton of stupid filler. Then the plot finally develops with Spongebob getting a splinter. Then Mr. Krabs pulls it out the end. Oh yeah and Patrick comes in there somewhere. And that's all that happens in the 11 minutes. Splinter. Patrick. Splinter gone. Done. Poorly paced, almost nothing funny, lame ending, and just plain gross.
1/10

I hate this episode. It is very gross, boring and not watchable. The splinter looks terrible. I HATE Patrick so much in this episode. He didn't help SpongeBob at all, just because of his stupidity in this episode. He put mud on SpongeBob's finger, and it got worse. You know who I hate in this one too? Squidward. Everyone would disagree with me x1000 about this one, but I HATE SQUIDWARD so much in this episode. Yes, I feel bad for him when he gets abused and I know he hates SpongeBob, but he shouldn't treat him like that. He flushed SpongeBob's Krusty Krab hat on the toilet, just because SpongeBob got the splinter and wanted him to go home? This is so mean. Squidward's sarcasm was always funny in the show, but NOT in this episode. Squidward was a stupid jerk to SpongeBob. The ending was terrible to watch. Not a good episode at all. The only good part was the beginning.
I can't agree, I always root for Squidward.

I didn't even know this episode existed back then. Who knows maybe I did.

This is just a disgusting episode. Patrick always has to ruin everything and it's not a fun plot. 0/10
