They've been advertising it a ton on Nick
Doesn't seem like it fits Nick... but it doesn't look terrible. I might watch it along with the new SpongeBob on Saturday (exactly what Viacom wants me to do I'm sure).
Maybe it'll be alright... still waiting for more good Nick shows
 
Something about the animation looks really 90's Nick-ish, does anyone else notice that?

Otherwise, the series looks alright, except there looks like there's gonna be a LOT of "LOL BUTT" humor. But I'm willing to give it a chance, it could be good.
 
You know, it'd actually probably be a decent show except for the fact that there's gonna be a ton of butt jokes, I'm sure.
 
Oh that show with the snake? Doesn't look interesting to me.

I actually agree with you. The animation does look sort of 90's-ish.


But yeah, I might give this show a chance, even though I'm skeptical about it from the commercials. It does look like it'll have a bunch of toilet humor, but hey, who knows, it might be good. I'll still watch it, just with lower expectations.
 
I actually hope it's decent. I wouldn't mind adding another show to my watch list, and I'm very willing to give it a chance.

Visually I'm just glad it's not puppet animation or 3D again. I usually abhor 2D puppets, with the most recent Nickelodeon example being Rocket Monkeys, which also used a lot of gross out humor and visuals that I don't like. As for 3D, while technically nice to look at most of the time, it just seems kinda' cheap since it's kinda' taking over parts of the industry. :/

Content wise, we'll see... I don't always trust how new shows are promoted because the show makers don't make the promotions. The network does. I know I probably wouldn't watch Monsters vs Aliens at all if I just based my opinion of it off of the promos, but I do sometimes, even if it isn't one of my top shows. It's a pretty okay show.
 
I think it's just going to be some blatant ripoff of Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Beavis and Butt-head combined. I'll just try to take risk and watch it to see how good/bad it is.

It looks like the same style as Bob's Burgers but I will watch it if I stumble upon it. It does look odd though.

The animation doesn't remind me of the 90's animation. If anything, it reminds me of Adventure Time.

Rip-off? Yeah, sure... but it's perfect for Nick. This could give SpongeBob a run for it's money. Do I think it looks good? No. It seems like a terrible show... but it appeals to the main crowd. This is what Nick needs, it's own Adventure Time. No matter how much we want to deny it, SpongeBob is near it's end than it is toward it's beginning. There will come a day where a new show will come and get higher ratings and sell more merchandise and they'll abandon SpongeBob. Lot of people (not everyone, I suppose) thought Rugrats was going to live on forever, but it didn't. It will happen to SpongeBob, like it happened to Rugrats. Will S&J do the trick? No, I'm not saying that... but it has a chance. It's only a matter of time. It could be S&J or another show. We'll have to wait and see.

I wouldn't expect S&J to beat SpongeBob at first, if it is the show to become Nicks next cash cow... this show will probably have to build up. Like I said, we don't know. But I think this show has a good chance.

And a lot of shows these days have gross humor, including SpongeBob. That's the trend. This show will most likely appeal.
 
The show has A LOT of toilet humor, but I'm not surprised since the show is meant to entertain a younger audience. It's like a more "extreme" and "imature" version of Regular Show for me ... and that means a lot considering Regular Show's antics. With that aside, I actually like the show. I just make puke faces when there's gross things shown.

Agreed with you. The first episode was so bad, I couldn't stand it. The second one wasn't very appealing either. Looks like my low expectations for this show were right.
 
It was better than I expected, but still heinous. WAAAAAY too much toilet humor, that was pretty much all it was. I guarantee you, it won't last.
 
I quit watching when they started poking the green thing on the guy's face.
 
I didn't like the butt/fart/gross/DUUUUDE humor (and I imagine it will be the same for a lot of you guys because those are the kinds of things we tend to gripe about when they happen in SpongeBob) but some of it was funny, like the Party Doctors montage.

If anything, it's nice to finally have a new creator-driven Nicktoon on the network rather than a previously existing franchise, spin-off or acquisition.

Kids will probably eat it up and their parents will hate it. :P
 
Watched it eariler...well, I like the animation and the moving title cards. I think second episode was the best out of the two. I did get some laughs, but it still too reliant on gross out humor. As a whole, I'm not impressed...yet?
