Here is some proof that the episode " SpongeBob you're Fired!" Is TRUE.

BOOK RELASE DATE: JANUARY 7, 2014

Here's the book description:

How could the Krusty Krab's number one fry cook, SpongeBob SquarePants, lose his job? Children ages 3 to 7 will find out in this full-color Pictureback based on the new, super-silly Nickelodeon TV special and DVD, You're Fired!

Had this bookmarked to eventually post but you beat me to it. :p
There's a couple of other tie-in books as well and I was waiting for them to get updated with their covers.

Since this is actual information, I'll move it to the main discussion forum and change the title to make it a more general "You're Fired!" thread.

Here are the other books (no covers yet):
  • Get a Job, SpongeBob! - What will Nickelodeon's SpongBob SquarePants do if he can't work at the Krusty Krab anymore? Children ages 4 to 6 will find out in this step 2 leveled reader based on the new Nickelodeon TV special and DVD, You're Fired! It features two pages of stickers!
  • Fry Cook Freak-Out! - Children ages 3 to 7 will thrill to this coloring and activity book based on the all-new Nickelodeon TV special and DVD, You're Fired! It stars SpongeBob SquarePants and features four chunky crayons!

Why does the premise of this scream ''Pre-movie'' to me?

It seriously feels like it's something out of first three seasons and I don't know why. I'll be checking this out when it airs on Television.

It's not just you, I'm getting the same feeling. I think it's because it's a premise that actually relates to one of the core themes of the show ("SpongeBob loves his job").

It's about time SpongeBob gets fired besides Karate Choppers. I mean, the fact that Mr K could get mad enough to fire him is something to definitely watch. I just hope they make this episode as heart throbbing as Have You Seen This Snail? And maybe a metaphor by Patrick or someone could help SpongeBob. This is almost like what drama could have been used for the movie to be honest.

I have to see the reasoning behind this. What'd ya do this time, Spongebob?

He's never been properly fired before, though. Only for a few seconds then immediately rehired.
What about Squid on Strike?

Ah, so there's books and a DVD accompanying this? Well, that's cool. I am pretty interested to see this special. The premise looks interesting but it sounds a bit like Bummer Vacation, with SpongeBob not wanting to stay away from the Krusty Krab and all. But, you never know.

It could be true, but it also may not. The SB Wiki isn't always reliable.

Anyway, I'm going to make I catch this episode when it airs. That cover art really grabs my attention.

The episode and plot was confirmed by someone who works (or at least knows) the writers of Spongebob. Proof? He posted a list of upcoming episodes, most of which have either been officially confirmed or aired.
