Probably because most people over the age of 5 don't watch shows made for preschoolers let alone discuss them.
I'm not trying to insult your hobby or anything, but your interest in this show is so niche I highly doubt you're going to get much of that kind of discussion from it. Don't let that step you from Wubbzy-ing on, though. :P
Yes, the pic describes me in a nutshell about this. You're just sawing off my love for this show. Alright, I'll hate to say it, but what you're saying is a bit true, and I don't mean to sound like a lost little kid for watching this show. I do love a lot of other cartoons made "for" older audiences just as much as this show. Plus, don't we all have that one preschool show that we still like? :)
The reason why I've come to appreciate Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! is because it's just... clinged on to me.
It all started when I was 7. Obviously, I was quite a weirdo to check out all the programming on Sprout/Noggin (at the time), as I had developed a strange fear of most shows TV-PG and up. However, me discovering W!W!W! stems from maybe seeing it as a cool show and watching a few YouTube videos on it. Again, I had another sort of weird "taste" in cartoons back then, so I immediately wanted to watch the show. Of course it was awesome, and the episodes/songs/characters were pretty memorable (without a doubt). To me, Widget's inventions, the wacky plots, all the "KOOKY" characters, everything else, were all "very interesting" to me, as Walden said.
There was just so much I couldn't deny about this show that made it one of my Nick Jr., and later, TV favorites. Both seasons had lots that appealed to me, with all their pros and cons, this or that. Not to mention, the show was made by the ever-awesome Bob Boyle, behind many interesting stuff that you could probably glance at :P. The show, as I may have mentioned before, had a good cobbling of writers (who put some humor and depth into the show, some which were from other reputable sources :P), and had a neat voice cast filled with people who weren't child actors/unknown people who did a shoddy job. I mean, aren't those voices fitting? :P
Later on, I developed a bit more with liking the show, as I got some DVDs/merch and watched some new episodes when they were watching the Nick Jr. channel. After a while, I was a bit interested in something else, so I put it away for a while and returned... two years later. I was a bit older and smarter then, so I had gained more knowledge on the show. I watched more episodes, and understood everything a bit better (the stuff lurking in the background...that is). Again, I put it away for a while and came back a while more later. I reintroduced a new set of Skype friends to Wubbzy, and even started a movement to bring back the show (which flopped, and I regret).
Still, the show does have a lot of variety in heartwarming, hilarious, and just plain ol' light-hearted episodes. From awesome episodes like "A Tale of Tails" to "Ty Ty the Tool Guy", "Welcome to the Dollhouse" to "Gotta Dance", many are worth watching for anyone, no matter how old or what taste, this show has it all. Even the Wubb Idol/Wubb Girlz episodes are decently unique, portraying the life of a "star" with all its' ins and outs, even better than most other shows like that.
Of course, time to get to any "questions" or disclaimers here.
You might be thinking that I'm just faking all of this to sound proper/trying to force people to like this show, but this does explain my true feelings on it (which you can easily view in my perspective :P) and why I've been buzzing about it so much. Keep in mind that there is also so much more turf to explore with W!W!W!, compared to other shows like SpongeBob where almost everything is known and accessible. There's just so much fresh stuff we can talk about and do with in the former show, right? Now, onto the "it's a preschool show" stuff. Obviously, it is one, and has a helping of elements in common to a lot of other shows, the most prominent being that it's "EDUCATIONAL TELEVISION!". It's probably gotta be that, but at least it isn't dumb and in-your-face about it. All those very entertaining and comedic episodes sure can be even better than Arthur at most points, plus don't forget the awesome songs that teach you a lesson. Don't forget, these episodes have lots of great morals for everybody else as well, just like a lot of other good shows. That said, this would also apply to all of the above.
Overall, everything fun about this show makes it one that I still watch, and possibly worthwhile for everything else. It's not perfect (it does have a few okay stuff besides all the good-amazing ones), but in my book, I'd sure highly position it above all other kid shows. Did I mention that it doesn't have all the downsides of bad SpongeBob as well? :P
