Why are people constantly talking trash about Spongebob?

Yeah, judging an entire season by just ONE bad episode, even though it's not finished, but has gone through 14 episodes by now (15 if you include the newest special "Spongebob You're Fired") is not good critisism. He also cited Little Yellow Book at one point, but that's just only 2 bad episodes out of 15 episodes that he cited. I mean, what about Safe Deposit Krabs, Plankton's Pet, Squid's Defense, Patrick-man, Jailbreak, and License to Milkshake, huh? I respect opinions, but if you're going to call a season with 15-40 episodes, then please at least cite MORE than 2 bad episodes. Because if you're gonna say that Season 9 is a horrible season all because of Squid Baby and Little Yellow Book, then I guess it's okay for me to call Season 2 a horrible season because of I'm With Stupid and Dumped!

I was thinking exactly this. If I was going to hate a season based on two bad episodes, I would have to hate my favorite season.

How much do you want to bet that MrEnter hasn't even seen any Season 9 episodes besides Squid Baby and Little Yellow Book?

Well, I saw him constantly getting requests to review the newest episode "Spongebob You're Fired", and he even said at one point that based on what he read, it seems like a bad special. Although, at this point, I'm not a betting-type. Though, it is possible that he may not have seen any other episodes besides those two (and maybe Spongebob You're Fired). I wouldn't really bet on it, mainly because I don't know him and I don't know everything he has seen, so I can't really judge. It is possible, but we'll have to wait and see if he does review any other episodes from Season 9 (and not just the atrocities).
 
Speaking of Little Yellow Book, another horrible episode where SpongeBob was treated disrespectfully, someone said SpongeBob deserved it in that episode for bothering Squidward. Now, Squidward, at that time, deserved abuse for once, because the episode wasn't redeeming, but SpongeBob? Really? SpongeBob didn't deserve that at all. I'm just ticked when I see or hear mean and rude remarks like that about my SpongeBob. =_=

I've seen people say that about Little Yellow Book too! I annoys me as well, no way did SpongeBob deserve to be treated that way in LYB. Squidward was being cruel, plain and simple.

Speaking of which, I'm annoyed by how so many fans make Squidward seem like some innocent martyr and will completely deny it when he does something wrong. I love Squidward, but for heaven's sake people need to stop acting like he doesn't have any faults.

Well, I can see why people say that because it is unfair that Squidward was the only one punished when the other Bikini Bottomites were at fault too. Still, Squidward's punishment wasn't undeserved. He did something bad and he wasn't at all remorseful for it. He deserved what he got. The rest of the BBits deserved punishment too and their hypocrisy annoys me, but that doesn't make Squidward's punishment was any less deserved.

That isn't Squid Abuse though. That's unfair treatment of others.

That's what I'm saying. It's not exactly Squid Abuse, but it is unfair.

And where have you been? People talk trash about recent Simpsons episodes all the time. :P

Though tbh, the trash talk for that show is nowhere near as much as SB. :P

True dat, SB gets trashed a lot more and much more vehemently.
 
Actually, I find more people where I live respecting SpongeBob. I mean, everytime they caught me watching SBSP I expect they would call me "gay derp herr gay derp herp no love for Jesus" or some similar bullshrimp. But no. They just go;

"Is that SpongeBob? Ahhh... my childhood."

Or,

"SpongeBob eh? Ahhh... nostalgia."

Basically, they act as if SpongeBob is a part of their childhood. To see these people feel how SpongeBob is a part of their lives makes me very happy. I mean I have no idea of the people's mindset at the States, but I'd like to cheerfully inform you that the sponge is well-respected here. I mean sure, no one talks about SpongeBob here, but at least no one is trash talking the show.

It was SpongeBob abuse, which was undeserved. The same thing happened in "Stuck in the Wringer" and "What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?" Especially the latter, which the worst special ever.

Although the latter sucked, it did end better at the end. With LYB, nothing good happened. :facepalm:
