TOP 15 SB Episodes everyone seems to hate but I... don't.

Before analyzing #1, let's recap:

And #1 of my list is, you guessed it:

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have spoiled it, but it was almost inevitable.
As for this special, I think it's much better than The Sponge Who Could Fly and The Clash of Triton.
Don't get me wrong, it has actually some flaws, such as the presence of a plot (?) and filler, of course, but luckily it's not that bad, either. I really enjoyed the flashbacks, and adored the alternate opening sequences. As for Spongebob and Sandy's marriage, it was random, since we already know the lack of continuity of this show and also know that there would be no marriage at the end.
Overall, I don't think it deserves that hatred, as there are far worse, mean-spirited, unnecessarily cruel specials than this one.
 
I didn't even consider Patchy's segments. I've always referred to the episode in particular and it didn't seem too bad.

I know what you're thinking: WHY did you choose this? You suck" let me get one thing perfectly clear: I don't consider this episode any good, but I don't consider it even horrible, either. For that reason it's low on this list. It's odd to say, but I've seen far worse episodes than Squid's Visit. Spongebob is clearly annoying and at the beginning he's such a crybaby, begging Squidward to pay him a visit, while he was following him ANYWHERE... okay, that was a bit amusing. Fans tend to bash this episode for being unsettling and creepy... honestly the only very disturbing moment was Spongebob panting to Squidward on the phone, but the rest is kinda passable. Although I have a legitimate question: WHY didn't Spongebob ask Squidward's permission to borrow his vacuum cleaner? That was quite rude of him. The best part is the ending, with Squid having a cup of tea with his vacuum cleaner and sleeping in Spongebob's (copycat) house, so it ended well for him. Again, without the ending it wouldn't be probably on this list.

Hint for #11: fear of speaking in public.

Squid's Visit is one of those episodes where I know it sucks, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the dark humour, especially as Squidward goes insane near the end. It's definitely my SpongeBob guilty pleasure.
