I really like this one. I consider it a classic. I lot of great things happen in this episode. Spongebob is sweet to pearl, Mr. Krabs protects his plant, and Spongebob gets long, tan, and handsome. There are some really memorable moments in here like the fish all running away from Pearl. And of course, do the sponge. This episode has a lot great moments and it makes for a memorable one.
Highlight moment: Do the sponge.
Highlight character: Spongebob.
Highlight quote: "A-ha! Keep away from me precious little flower! You almost stepped on it." - Mr. Krabs
This is one of the better season 4 episodes in my opinion. It's unique, memorable, tells a good story, and throws some good jokes in too. It has everyone in character and gets a good atmosphere of a courtroom well. Also, I really like the twist here. It's clever and makes sense. This is one of the better Krabs against Plankton episodes from post movie. However, the title of this episode is really dumb and generic. This episode helped post movie start out on the right foot. This episode has some great moments and is one of my favorites from season 4.
Highlight moment: plankton telling about his grandmother.
Highlight character: Spongebob
Highlight quote: "But he is cheap."

This episode gets a lot of love, and for good reason! This episode is one of those episode that the way it plays out is comedy gold. This episode is great with satire and storytelling and it is a funny one. Squidwards' paranoia is played out great and everything in this episode is great. The only reason it's not higher is personal preference. I really do love this episode so check it out. It's really creative. Also that ending is amazing.
Highlight moment: Squidward in the bath
Highlight character: Squidward
Highlight quote: "Are you finished with those errands?"
This episode used to be in my top 10. It fell down here because I realized there were some quality episodes I liked better. This episode is one of the better Sandy episodes. I loved it when I was a kid and I still do. It's funny, clever, and well written. I love the ending. It's one of my favorite endings in the entire show. It's really unique, memorable, and totally out of the blue! A really great moment. This episode has good use of characters, it's funny, and a great ending. Overall, am episode I really like.
Highlight moment: The live action ending.
Highlight character: Sandy
Highlight quote: "Sandy's a girl?" - Patrick
Ghost Host is strange because it is an elaborate mix of free loading and a Flying Dutchman episode. It doesn't beat Shanghaied or Can you Spare a dime though so that's a strike against it. And it really isn't filled with Spongey charm...... I have to like an episode a lot for it to get in my top 50 so what is it doing here? Well, the episode manages to be very unique despite being similar to past episodes, it embraces the Flying Dutchman spirit like no other, it throws in some good jokes, and it embraces fear in the form of deranged animation. It makes a perfect Halloween episode and is one of my favorites from season 4.
Highlight character: THE FLYING DUTCHMAN OOOOOOOHHHHHHH!
Highlight moment: The terrifying stuff.
Highlight quote: N/A
Doing Time will finish off the forties. Which is ironic because it's ending is a bit..... Not good. But besides being a bit mean spirited this episode has few problems. It's unique, being in a jail and all, and it's funny as heck. The jokes are on point and it makes for one of the funnier episodes of season 3. Mrs. Puff episodes are not always my favorites but this one manages to deliver. It's also great to see to see her insanity play out. It's a creative and hilarious episode. I'm tired so that's it today.
Highlight character: Puff
Highlight moment: The juice attacking the retirement home.
Highlight quote: "Yeah, that guy had no front license plate!"
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the 30's.
39. As Seen on TV
Making your main character be unlikeable in a episode is a big risk. But this episode embraces it. It has a lot of funny jokes like Spongebob's excitement and arrogance, just the way everything turns out is comedy platinum too. I love this episode just like the other ones in this top 50. However, this episode suffers from not being that memorable. Also, I love the commercial and song.
Highlight character: Spongebob
Highlight moment: The door scene
Highlight quote: "What a nice cereal box."
This episode is fantastic. It has a great story that is creative and has foreshadowing. It has plenty of jokes about insanity and is just a funny idea, and it really has a lot of great things. This episode is exiting and fast-paced, full of drama and action and some truly great moments. So why isn't it higher? Because it is post-movie! Duh! Hah, I'm just kidding. It's not higher because of two things. One, stiff competition. And two, it isn't as charming as a lot of episodes ahead of it. However, I think it is a great episode and you should go watch it. Now. Right now. I'm serious. Go. Tell your friends to go watch it, too.
Highlight Character: Spongebob
Highlight Moment: When the vet-fish pulls out the gigantic stick. It's just funny because it being so big is unexpected.
Highlight Quote: "Who's to say we're not all zombies?!"
Like Once Bitten and Doing Time this episode is hilarious! However, this episode doesn't have as many flaws as those two. It has great pacing unlike Doing Time, and is very charming unlike Once Bitten. This episode is one of the best Plankton episodes, and I, loving Plankton, can't help but adore this episode. Unfortunately, this episode is dreadfully underrated and is not loved as much as a couple season 3 episodes I won't name, for they are not on this list. This episode has many iconic moments like SOILED IT, and VICTORY SCREECH!!!!!!!! Plankton is a great anti-hero in this episode, and they play out the awesome be careful what you wish for trope in the spongiest way episode. Many characters get there moments, and it's great to watch. Why isn't it higher? As a whole the episode isn't as iconic to the series. It still is a great one, with jokes are large as a whale.
Highlight Character: Plankton, duh.
Highlight Moment: Plankton and Spongebob interacting.
Highlight Quote: "VICTORY SCREECH! (Screeches)"- Spongebob
