The Worst Episodes of Any Show You've Ever Seen?

I have seen a lot of bad episodes. I have viewed Animated Atrocities in its entirety.

But the absolute worst episode of any show I have ever seen, in terms of how angry it made me, is a tie- between "Too Old" and "Lemonhope," both from Adventure Time.

Too Old- They showed the graphic, traumatizing abuse of several of the lemon children- and Finn "the hero" didn't even care about helping the poor little kids. They treated the domestic violence and child abuse of Castle Lemongrab as a sub-plot, and less important than Finn's "girl issues." As someone who had to deal with abuse in their childhood, I thought this episode was absolutely disgusting.

Lemonhope- Again, they treated domestic violence/child abuse as a subplot. It was horrific. They showed all of those children being starved and beaten by their father. Even worse, they actually showed Lemongrab killing one of his children off-screen, through sound effects, and had the gall to play that for laughs. Child abuse is never funny- especially when the child dies. Real children are killed by their parents every day. It is not funny. It's heartbreaking.

Some episodes are bad because they're just plain bad.

Others are bad because they're offensive- and they're offensive because they lack the tact/grace to actually deal with the serious issues they're presenting to their audience. You want to do an episode about child abuse, or domestic violence? Fine- but do it with dignity and sensitivity! Don't shoe-horn it in just to make another character look conflicted and heroic!

I didn't like Too Old as well but I like Lemonhope honestly because of Lemonhope having his freedom and dream scenes.

Something I HAVE TO MENTION
Adventure Time: BOTH OF THE FIONNA AND CAKE EPISODES! Talk about uncreative, just a gender swap, WHAT'S THE FREAKING POINT OF IT!??! JUST KEEP THEM NORMAL! It's one of the laziest ideas ever invented. Oh and also the graybles are so freaking boring, KILL ALL OF THESE WITH FIRE!

I actually liked all Fionna and Cake and Graybles episodes. IMO the worst AT episodes are A Glitch is a Glitch, Too Old, The Wizard's Garden, The Giggler, Davey, Another Way (I found this episode very stupid), Paper Pete, Bad Timing (I usually find LSP episodes funny but this episode was so boring because It was just all drama, LSP had a few funny moments though), BMO Noire and The New Frontier (Sorry MMM).

Love you both. I only liked Fiona and Cake because of NPH, but everything else was boring. Too Young was actually one of my least favorite episodes ever too

Too Young is one of my favorite episodes. I just really love Lemongrab before he turned into a domestic abuser. The rest of Too Young is okay-ish, but LG's scenes are golden.

I like the Fionna and Cake episodes. I think they're odd, silly, cute, etc. Not the best, but they're entertaining and sweet. Also, keep in mind that Ice King wrote F&C, and Marceline wrote "Bad Little Boy." This explains why the characters act the way they do. :)

I love you, too!

I meant Too Old. The titles are similar, I get them confused.
Oh, right. Too Old is disgusting. Too Young, however, was awesome. Probably my favroite episode, if I had to choose.

I thought his dreams were handled well- they were, for the most part, a creepily accurate representation of the dreams that an abused child has. They were basically PTSD flashbacks, too.

My issue with the episode is that, again, the abuse of the lemon children is treated like a footnote. I feel like the only person who actually really cared about the lemon children.

(I can see some of the Lemon people being children, but are ALL the lemon people besides the LemonGrab brothers children, exactly?)

Yeah, I'm not exactly fond of Too Old either. It was rather irritating to see that Finn kept focusing on winning Princess Bubblegum over, rather than helping her save the citizens from Lemongrab's tyranny. It's not totally HORRIBLE for me, but it is kinda bad. Though, to be honest, I actually really enjoyed Lemonhope. I didn't like the abusive video at the very beginning (and that part where one of the citizens were EATEN for comedy was pretty bad), but the story is actually not that bad. They may not have focused solely on the abuse, but I like how they focused on Lemonhope's journey and character development. The part where he made Lemongrab explode was good, and it was nice to see the lemon people get their freedom (including Lemonhope). And the song sung by Princess Bubblegum at the end was sweet. ^_^

Let's see:

The Boy Who Would Be Queen from FOP: For stereotyping genders. Really pissed me off.

Honey, I'm Homeland from American Dad: Parodying terrorism, especially with the ending. "lol don't worry we were pretending 2 be terrorists 2 test our security system"

The Splinter from SB: I watched this once when I was a kid. I didn't ever watch it again.

One Coarse Meal from SB: You all know why.

Uhh, that's probably all I can think of right now.

Excluding SB, (And Family Guy cuz it sucks overall now) which is another topic entirely, here are some weak episodes of shows I like, both animation and live acion:

Sanjay and Craig: Unbarfable

Ed Edd n Eddy: Mamma's Little Ed (Double D tortue po rn ftl)

R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: Pool Shark, Poof De Formage

Goosebumps: Say cheese and Die again

South Park: The China Problem

Adventure Time: Wizards only, Fools

completely disappointing, especially the ending. It felt so sloppy and made the whole thing pointless.
I don't agree. I really enjoyed watching this episode. It was cute, It was interesthing to see Jake become a father, the scene when Jake's kids become a giant monster was awesome. I suppose the ending wasn't that good because Jake's kids become much older than Jake but still I love this episode. Even If this episode was awful, I wouldn't compare it to SpongeBob's "Gone" episode.

for me it would have to be a episode of king of the hill.in one episode hank and his wife peggy were supposed to go skydiving, but hank made it down but peggy as soon as she jumped her parachute didn't work then she pulled on her emergency chute that didn't work and i was like no they can't kill peggy,no don't let peggy die and then somehow she survives like a 5000 feet fall from the air and to me that was the worst episode of king of the hill ever.

You know, once I saw Seahorse Seashell Party, I legitimately gave up on Family Guy. It was that bad of an episode. I saw only about 5 episodes that were released after it, so I don't have much of a taste of what people call the worst episodes of the show. In fact, I have never seen Fresh Heir and I only barely know the plot of it.

But if there was one episode that came the closest to the vomit that was Seahorse Seashell Party, I have to say it's Play it Again Brian. I'm making this post just a bit after I watched it after 3 years and I cringed through the whole thing. The last 10 minutes or so of the episode was some of the worst I've seen from the show. All it is is Brian stooping as low as Peter in the episode by basically raping Lois, Brian and Peter fighting on who is better to Lois, then Lois talking to Brian on how SHE has thought about it before while Peter shows no punishment nor remorse about how badly and inconsiderably he treats Lois. The somewhat good musical number at the end doesn't make up for this episode's ending being one of the worst tastes in my mouth that I have ever seen on the show.
