I never understood that, does that mean that some of the writers and are helping with this movie?
 
We’re all in it together this time rather than just being a buddy movie like the first movie.

They're not supposed to look beautiful, they're just key actions so the animators have an idea of how SpongeBob's supposed to move in that scene. XD

SpongeBob's still relevant, though. The new Muppets movie was the first time a lot of kids would have even heard of them so the simple name made sense; it's completely different than SpongeBob which is still really popular with kids.

I'm wondering if the clip they showed is the same one they showed at a licensing expo last year. But mostly I'm wondering if we'll get to see it.

KCAs would be a great time to reveal a teaser, though it might still be a little early. They used the KCAs to promote the Last Airbender movie back in 2010 but it was a lot closer to release than SpongeBob 2 is.

If I'm not mistaken, I think they had a teaser of the first SpongeBob Movie in the 2003 KCAs so it might be possible to get the second one this year.
