So you think it's a bad/crazy idea getting a SpongeBob tattoo?

Oh, I'm so glad I could help you. Take everything I said into consideration, and make your choice. If you love SB, and are sure you'll love it for a long time, then get the tat. Both of my tats are very personal and loved.
I love him, I was considering since I was a little kid, but I waited till I grow up to make a decision. The time arrived, I still love SB, and I'll always will^^
SpongeBob brought me happy memories and things, like my bf, we're together for 7 years now, and it's all SB's fault X3

Also, advice, be informed about their sterilisation. They should use a sterisled needle - not the gun, but the needle..

How it goes, is that they out the needle into a tattoo gun, then they dip it into an ink tub, just like those old movie artists with a quill pen do, then they tattoo you, first the outline, then the colour and shading, and that pen busses, and the very first touch hurts. That's the moment you'll register any kind of oain, and that first prick/é is the worst, mostly.

You said your arm. Then that is really easy to just relaxer and while you'll feel pain, you will quickly be able to just lose yourself while talking to her, or enjoying the feel of the tattoo gun.
It's intense, but once it's gotten underway and you've gotten used to the feeling, it's not bad.

I have one on my shoulder, and one on my lower back, grazing my bum. (It was embarrassing to pull my pants down to have that done.)

Then, sounds like a good choice for a tat. That's how I choose my first tat: Something that had meant a lot to me for years, and I still loved it as an adult.

You mean like me? ;)
I actually had you exactly in mind when I said that. You always give good advice <3

Here's my take, if you still really want to get a tattoo of Spongebob in a year from now (or even six months), then decide whether to get it.

Not to discourage you, but rather as a cautionary (and it's kinda funny) Why you should think about your tattoo:
