I've been considering getting a SpongeBob tattoo since I was a little kid.
I dont like tattoos at all, really, but of my beloved Sponge is pretty okay for me...

Well, But I don't want to tattoo a random SpongeBob pic, I want to draw a Spandy pic, SpongeBob and Sandy together, doing something cute... And "put" on my left arm.
But I'm not sure if I can stand for the pain, this is what worries me...
And I need to save some money for it, I'll not even make one this year, maybe next...
And I'm trying to learn to draw SpongeBob and Sandy in their original styles for this...

Well, what do you guys think?
Making a tattoo is much painful?

I think it's something you should put a lot of thought into. You'd probably have it for the rest of your life, and if you don't like the pain involved than maybe it's not for you. But then again many people have been able to do it, and it really depends on your personal preference.

I know, but I'm pretty sure I'll not regret.

Good idea?
Lol. I was thinking about this a second ago.

I think it's a pretty good and original idea, really.
If I was a "tattoo" person, I would get that one XD

It's your body, so do what you feel is right, but put some thought before making the decision.

And trust me, I've actually thought about getting a SB tattoo several times when I get older. I might actually get it too.... :shiftysponge:

Yes.

I'm personally not a big fan of tattoos and most tattoos are permanent. I wouldn't recommend getting a tattoo, but it's your decision.

Everyone says its something you'll have till you die...
But if it's something you like, a lot, it may be a good idea...

Like, I used to love Ice King, but if I made a tattoo of him, I would regret now, because I'm not a BIG fan like before...

You should wait till you get older, and if, you still like SB when you get older, you probally wont regret the tattoo.
That's what I thought when I was a kid. But now I'm old already...

I have to agree with you. I don't like tattoos either.
But I don't know why I have the feeling I need to mark my body with the only thing I love in this world, the only thing that makes me happy.
And it will be permanent.

I had a tattoo like that once. I'm not really sure where it came from. Fortunately, the bouncer at the local tough guy bar was able to remove it, with only some minor skin discoloration.

Tattoo is a permanent thing, like, it would stay in your skin even after you died (until they finally rot off that is). Well it' your body so it's your decision. Although I advises you to think about it carefully first.

I have no idea. I'm definiitely not going to say "it's immoral" or some BS like that becuase it's compelete BS, but its your decision.
I think you should talk to someone who actually has tattoo's for advice though.

Jokes aside... A tattoo is something you have to decide for yourself.

I have a couple tats, about the pain the question is where do you want to get it? Some places hurt more than others.

The most painful part is the outline, the colouring barely hurts.

But tatoos don't really hurt that much. It feels like a deep scratch, and it does hurt a but, but it isn't bad.

It does depend on where you want to get it and your own tolerance for pain.

I was told to take the place you want to have the tat and pinch it, see how much that hurts, and if you can handle that, then the tat won't be any worse.

What I'm going to tell you though, is to seriously talk to the tattooist. Talk to more than one. Tell them it's your first, and that you're worried. Tell them why you want the tatto, what it means to you, and ask to look at their portfolio, or pictures of other tats they've done. Get yourself good and informed, and it's important that for your first, you can talk to the tattoist, because he or she's will be able to talk you through and or warn you if it might hurt more than usual.

I've got a couple tats, and when I get a new one, I won't need any coaching as far as pain goes (it doesn't really hurt me).

My experience: Piercing your ears hurts more than getting a tat.

A new tat will burn, will feel like a really bad sunburn afterwards, and at some point will itch - do NOT scratch it, youll scratching out the ink. It will scab, do not rip off the scabs. And do make sure that your tattooist offers a gauarantee of at least two touch ups, or more.

The colour will bleed back out a bit, so a guarantee with free touch ups is a must. At least two, if not more. If the tattoist is good, then they'll offer as many free touchups as needed.

Hey, that's the advice I wanted to hear.! Thank you so much.

I want to get a tatto on my left arm, in my upper limb, well, I can stand for a long pinch, actually in this part of my body I don't feel much pain, so I think I would support the pain.

I'm looking for good tattoists around here, it's expensive, but I don't care the price for something I love <3

Actually, I don't even weard earrings ^^' I have the hole for them, but my mom made when I was really little... So I can't remember lol

But your advice really helped me, I even talked to my sister, who has a lot of tattoos, she even has one I drew for her, but... Well, she don't like me that much >.>

Oh, I'm so glad I could help you. Take everything I said into consideration, and make your choice. If you love SB, and are sure you'll love it for a long time, then get the tat. Both of my tats are very personal and loved.

You mean like me? ;)
