I just have a few questions about some old episodes in the show's history. Here we go:

1. I read that when they originally premeired, SB-129 was paired with The Paper and Valentine's Day was with Karate Choppers. Is this true, and if so, why were they switched?
2. Why was SB-129 and Karate Choppers banned from airing for a year (or 2)?
3. Were any other episodes ever banned for a short while?
4. What was the week of new episodes in March 2001 called? (Recent ones are New new new new new week, Gimme 5, and SPF 5)
5. Why didn't a new episode air on Friday of that week?^
6. Is it true that Gary Takes A Bath didn't air until over 2 years after Shanghaied did? If so, why?
7. What was Shanghaied's premeir like? And also, why didn't it air again until 2 years later?
8. When Spongebob originally aired, did new episodes premeir at 10:00am?

Answers to any of these questions would be much appriciated. Thanks!

Wow, really!?

Do you know why it was put back on air, though? I remember seeing it on TV recently.

Yeah, it's true, I heard that before. And for some weird reason they put it back on, I see it all the time. But sorry, I have no clue about the other questions, I became a Spongebob fan just a couple years ago :/

1. Where did you hear that? I don't think they've been switched.
2. I saw 'em on TV recently so I don't know of any ban.
3. I don't think so.
6. It might be but I don't know.
7. I didn't see it but I think it was a regular special only the fans voted on which ending to see.

1. I was looking through old papers that I had a few days ago, and some were a printed list of Spongebob episodes and notes from TVTome, and that was one of the notes.
2. Me too.
3. Just checking

1. No, that's not true.
2. They werent banned at all.
3. Nope. A few episodes were edited (Just One Bite, Procrastination) but none were completely banned.
6. I'm not sure if it was two years but it was a while later. They edited out all the Patchy parts and needed a shorter episode to fill in.
7. Fans voted online rather they wanted SpongeBob, Patrick or Squidward's ending. SpongeBob won.
8. I do remember some episodes premeiring at 10:00 am (Chocolate With Nuts/MM and BB 5 for example)

SB-129 and Karate Choppers didn't air for a while around 2003 or 2004.

I don't think I've seen SB-129 in a while. Doesn't seem like it was put back on air.

Weird that I don't remember that.

Oh, I do. I remember back in 2003, it frustrated me because that and Squid On Strike/Sandy, Spongebob, & The Worm were the only Spongebob episodes I had not seen at the time.

Is it just me or did Squid On Strike and Sandy, Spongebob, & The Worm never air? It was the last Season 2 episode I saw and back in 2003, I remember it never aired and I watched TV a lot. I just randomly saw it while watching TV when the TV schedule got messed up.

2. I remember never seeing SB-129 and Karate Choppers in 2003. I think I read at TVTome that they were saving it for the New Years.
6. I specifically remember Gary Takes a Bath premiering in 2003 (I even remember the hilarious promo they did). It was after the RU All That? special; they aired a rerun of Shanghaied (without the Patchy segments), then aired Gary Takes a Bath. However, many sources say that Gary Takes a Bath premiered in 2001; there's even a TV.com note that says, "When Nick re-aired 'Gary Takes a Bath,' they declaired it a brand new episode, but it origionally aired with Shanghaied." I remember watching the premiere of Shanghaied, but I don't remember Gary Takes a Bath airing with it. That's why I quite recently edited that on Wikipedia. But still, CAN SOMEONE WHO HAS A BETTER MEMORY TELL ME IF I'M RIGHT OR NOT?
7. It aired with the Patchy segments. At the point where the Flying Dutchman is about to point to the who gets the last wish, an alert came on the screen (don't remember what it said) then Patchy told viewers to call in and vote (which I, at the time, thought was a joke), then after a commercial break Patchy announced who lost and Patrick and Squidward's endings were shown. Then they showed SpongeBob's ending.
