I wonder what the significance of the landmarks behind them is? In the first picture I actually thought they might be part of a separate display in the background because they seemed so random. Is it supposed to be a vague representation of them taking over the world or is it something that actually happens in the movie?

Hmm. Maybe they travel to New York and Paris and where ever that ferris wheel in the background is. That would be my best guess.

I would go, but the 3-D movie posters and all the merchandising for said 3-D just feels too cheesy for me. Maybe I'll go just to see what it's like, I was planning on seeing a movie that day anyways.

The people running the activities had shirts with 2D versions of the superheroes. Quite interesting in a "this is what it could have looked like" way. I imagine they'll use this 2D style for the books and maybe some other merchandise.

i have a theory that plankton betrays them and goes back to bikkini bottom (with super powers) and the gang follows him and we see the 2d versions of their super hero forms and they fight with a epic fight seen now its probaly not gonna happen but i wish...
