The Lost Mattress: This episode was superb. Not a scene went by without something hilarious hapenning or being said. The plot was something new, and it turned out great. SpongeBob hasn't lost its magic. There were a lot of memorable quotes packed into 11 minutes. The trio of SpongeBob, Patrick, and Squidward are back in similar fashion to The Camping Episode. Only there's Mr. Krabs, who was equally as good. I also like the new characters and settings that are being presented; it gives a new fell to the show, but it keeps the same concept. It made it less predictable, and therefore more funny. The soap opera spoof that the writers approched this episode with really pulled it together. Definitely one of the top episodes, and the best of season 4 to date.
Krabs vs Plankton: This another one of those good but not great, and certainly not bad episodes. It had its funny parts, but nothing over the top. Again, I like the new plot, characters, and settings that this episode had. Plankton's plans may be getting better, but they're not as funny as some of the older ones. Still, this was pretty good.
overall look on season 4 so far: there's more krabs and plankton, but i don't think that's much of a problem. clearly, the show is at its best when patrick and squidward costar with spongebob, and they do next week, which is a good thing. as for what everyone says about it being too fast paced, i don't notice anything. i can see a slight difference between these episodes and some of the early ones, but nothing major. and its not a bad thing. if anything, and just allows for more stuff to be included, which allows for more funny parts.
