No one (as in someone who would actually make the decision) said there woul dbe another movie. Someone made up a fake article, which was a pretty dumb thing to do. There is still a chance for another movie. Nothing's really changed since the first, other than season 4 getting pretty good ratings. So who knows. But no announcement one way or another yet. Also, it's pessimist, so if you start labeling people unfairly, you can at least spell it correctly. :(

They haven't actually confirmed a second movie, but it's very likely with these ratings.

What do you mean by no plot? All the Season 4 episodes had a good plot, except of course, Krusty Towers/Mrs. Puff, You're Fired.

My idea for a 2nd movie is...

Plankton and Mr. Krabs switch bodies, and Mr. Krabs has to stop SpongeBob from giving Plankton (who looks like Mr. Krabs) the formula! Meanwhile, Dennis, The Thugs from the thug tug and the cyclops are back, destroying Bikini Bottom!

Unsure whether or not this would be my final plot, but it may be something like this...

Plankton has escaped from the Institute for the Criminally Tiny, and he, Karen and Dennis are back on the war path...all looking for revenge against Mr Krabs. Gathering several henchmen, including some other random characters, Mr Krabs realises that he is the victim of an attempted extermination. The only hope is King Neptune, but Team PLANKTON, as they call themselves, have already tried to exterminate him, and he and Mindy have moved off. It's up to SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy and Squidward to stop team Plankton and save the day.

This is a DEFINATE quote that I'd like to hear.

SPONGEBOB: (singing) Oh, I'm a Goofy Goober, yeah! Patrick!
PATRICK: You're a Goofy Goober, yeah!
SPONGEBOB: Sandy!
SANDY: (weakly) Err...We're all...Goofy...err...

I Do Hope For A Sequel But I So Hope That It Wouldn't Be A Movie Completly Ripped Off From The Original. Like having all the Exculsively Movie Characters (Dennis, Mindy, Neptune, Victor & [Who I'm sure Wouldn't Apper in the Sequel] Hasselhoff) Return with Major Parts and have an excrusiatingly similar plot. Also Would Be Nice to HAve More Squidward.

anyway, i did say what ever goes, goes for me. If they have a movie, then yahoo, but id much rather see new eppys rather than a new movie. I just have a thing about going into a theater where im the only 15 year old out of what seems like millions of 11 year olds or whatnot. sorry, i dont mean to offend, its just...weird for me.

well if you think by comparison, when Rugrats wasnt really that big of a hit, it made about three movies while spongebob has one currently. So i guess it would have somewhat of a chance of havinga movie before they end production, though from what I know today, they've shifted all rugrats production to "all grown up" or whatever and canceled the original to leave the predicessor.
