When I have the chance, I will start my top 100 SpongeBob episodes list. Not right now, but some time. I promise I will finish it.

Okay. As long as you finish...

Really excited

Before I start with numbers 100 to 97, I will just say I am only doing episodes that aired up to 2012. Otherwise, episodes like Evil Spatula and Squid Defense WOULD have made my list.

Now, we start with #100, eh?

100

This is definitely a classic episode, and it started that recurring Krusty Krab concept: Employee of the Month. I really mainly put this episode on here because it is just plain classic. In fact, the overall episode is slightly bland to me. But it really is a good episode. There are some jokes, and I really liked the conflict.

Favorite Character: Squidward
Favorite Scene: The very ending

This episode is one that proves that SpongeBob is going a little bit uphill again after the dark days of seasons 5 and 6. And I'm loving it. I kind of like how it brings up something that was brought up in an earlier episode [Yours, Mine and Mine]. Even if it's a throwback [not a nostalgic one, really] the episode is still original. I'm still wondering when SpongeBob started selling milkshakes all of a sudden. [It's a cartoon.] Oh yeah. The fact that there's a milkshake camp is kind of cheesy, but I liked how it turns out that as long as he uses his heart, he doesn't need an operator. I still don't know how that piece of advice suddenly makes him redeem himself at making milkshakes. Set the slightly cheesy plot aside, and this an original and jokeful episode.

Favorite Character: Frosty Mug
Favorite Scene: The obliterating scene

This episode deserves some respect for being a parody of a really old story by Jules Verne. That alone makes the episode good. This was the ONLY good episode in the 2007 SB Thanksgiving Marathon. All the others were garbage, especially Stanley S. Squarepants. For me, the subject of the episode is one I was waiting to see in a SpongeBob episode: SpongeBob and Patrick going on a long journey meeting a giant monster. This was kind of accomplished with the movie, but I wanted an episode to take the plot and turn it into a good episode. Especially since these were dark times for the SpongeBob fanbase.

Favorite Character: Patrick
Favorite Scene: Them while falling into the abyss.

300px-Jellyfish_Hunter.jpg

This episode had a ::dolphin noise:: load of original plots and characters: Blue Jelly; Mr. Krabs' association with Jellyfish; jelly in a Krabby Patty? OK? Didn't see that one coming. Either way, the only used concept in this episode is jellyfish/ing. I think this is the first episode with SpongeBob bashing Mr. Krabs' horrible ways to earn money. It wasn't just the originality of the episode that I liked. There were LOTS of jokes in this ep. In fact, one moment became a meme:
MOAR_KRABS_by_Sporemaster.jpg

I also liked Fred's musical number in this episode.

Favorite Character: Blue Jelly/No Name/Friend
Favorite Scene: Fred's number

Yay, another list! Nice to see Jellyfish Hunter and Employee of the Month on here, but I would've put them lower down in the numbers. I'll be following this for sure.

300px-Shell_of_a_Man.jpg

This is definitely a way to bring a new side to a character. Ehehehe. No. I guess all this ep is is that Mr. Krabs loses his shell and SpongeBob has to be him. For some reason, this episode was more creative to me than it is to most people who have watched this episode. Even if it is generally unoriginal, it is DEFINITELY humorous. There are some good jokes in here. I like the PERFECT mix of incidental humor and visual gags. Most post-movie episodes have too much of one or the other. That's what makes this episode different from other Season 4 episodes.

Favorite Character: Mr. Krabs
Favorite Scene: All of the other sailors revealing THEIR insecurities.

300px-Face_Freeze.png

You know what. Screw you. Screw ALL of you who don't like this episode because the faces are disturbing. Say all you want, I, for some reason, really enjoyed this episode. I find there pre-climax faces actually funny [strange-funny.] Also, the jokes, including Mr. Krabs' story, were actually enjoyable. The face-spree in the middle of the episode was kind of eerie, but it was still funny to me. If anything, the big flaw with the episode is the ending where EVERYBODY gets strange faces. I think what kind of turned the episode off for me is that Mr. Krabs and Squidward [especially Squidward] got the strangest faces for no freaking reason. Once again, if you don't like this episode, then whatever. Just don't rub it in my face. I like the episode, so deal with it.

Favorite Character: SpongeBob
Favorite Scene: Mid-episode face spree

300px-Gary_Takes_a_Bath.jpg

You know how good SpongeBob is? It doesn't need an eventful plot to have a good episode. Case: this episode has possibly the weakest plot in pre-movie SpongeBob history. It's just SpongeBob persuading Gary to take a bath in different silly ways. It's really hard to describe a detailed plot. "SpongeBob gives Gary subliminal messages. Then, he plays leap frog with him." Yeah, that can be hard to swallow. Once again, even the weakest plot can make a good episode. This one is so silly and jokeful, you don't give a flying ::dolphin noise:: about the plot. It really is only about the jokes. That was a well-done concept in pre-movie eps.

Favorite Character: Gary
Favorite Scene: The 'subliminal messages'

If anything, season 8 was a HUGE step-up in SpongeBob. It just got better and better. Then, this episode came at the end of the season, and it was amazing. SpongeBob bringing his ukelele back was pretty fun. So, now SB and Squiddy are gonna make music together? Wow, I don't know if that's original or not. The plot was sought after, making it unoriginal. The plot was never done before, so that makes it ORIGINAL. That makes it halfway there. It is still an amazing concept for an episode. I really like this episode except for one thing: Mr. Krabs was despicable in this episode. I was NOT able to tolerate him here. He is just a money-grabbing stankbag. The episode really sells it for me for the 2 numbers in it. The first one was definitely good, but OMFG that end one. That was so awesome. It is the best post-movie musical number, so that's what had me put it on my top 100.

Favorite Character: SpongeBob
Favorite Scene: The ending song

You have a good list

300px-The_Monster_Who_Came_to_Bikini_Bottom.jpg

I can say right now that this is the only good episode of the Legends of Bikini Bottom. It's also a step-up for Patrick being slightly wise in this episode. That's hard to find in post-movie, but it's there. It;s roaming somewhere in the vomit woods. That monster, for some reason, enlightens my mood when I see it act like some kind of giant scary-looking toddler. Also, Patrick taking care of that thing at least a little bit feels like something off-character for him [in a good way.] Take all of this and mix it with a pretty adequate plot makes a great episode altogether. I have no regrets.

Favorite Character: Patrick
Favorite Scene: Patrick and "Raaargh!" playing with the snowglobe

If you really think about it, and everybody else would agree, the maximum amount of this episode being good is 3/4 of it. Why? I'll talk about THAT later. When it's thought about, we have been waiting for an episode involving Krabs and Plankton being best friends. How did they up the anty? They talk about how in the PAST they were best friends. That was surprising for even the Krabs-Plankton friendshippers. The 3 different stories also added to the great plot. What makes 3/4 of the episode good only? ..........................
220px-Patchythepirate.jpg

Tom Kenny, you son of a ::::dolphinoise:::::
When I see Patchy popping up, I close my eyes and wait for the episode. That's the only method. Patchy is so cheesy and unfunny that he makes me retch. I think all of you guys would agree, too. Take that away, and this is an extraordinary episode. A great way to start season 5.

Favorite Character: Mr. Krabs
Favorite Scene: Krabs and Plankton as babies

If you don't remember this episode, I don't blame you. It was only advertised, like, 3 times, and all it said was there was a brand new episode next Saturday. Because of this, the episode is well-deemed 'forgettable.' Even if so, this episode was purely a hidden gem of season 7. There were a few season 7 'hidden episodes' and this is my favorite one. The plot is surprisingly very well thought out. Two of the big scientists in Bikini Bottom have a similar idea, and team up to help each other. It's even better when the two scientists' goals are opposite. The jokes, potty humor, are kind of laggy, but are still funny. It just resonates TOO well for a season 7 episode.

Favorite Character: Sandy
Favorite Scene: The test monkey scenes

300px-Wayofthesponge.jpg

Fina-freaking-ly! A new episode that involves karate! Now, there's this new character. This crankshaft called Fuzzy Acorns. If anything, the first half of the episode is not much to me, except for Fuzzy being an arse to SpongeBob. The scene in the Krusty Krab is great, though. It is SpongeBob at is karate-chopping best. How can anybody slice a burger into twelves? I also like the ending for Fuzzy finally apologizing and giving both Sponge and Sandy their well-deserved blacker-belts.

Favorite Character: SpongeBob
Favorite Scene: End resolution

Next 4 eps coming soon....

I'm really sorry for the procrastination, guys.
Another thing I'm sorry for is the fact that I lost 89 to 86 of the countdown. I guess it will be a top 96 from now on. *twitch*

This special was surprisingly pretty good! Only half of the episodes for Runaway Roadtrip were good, and this was one of the decent ones. What brought me to like the episode is that song. That song, man. It is really good. I don't know what it is. It's best executed when it's done in the ending especially. I only have one big question, and it's a serious one. What would it be like if they actually WENT to the Great Barrier Reef?

Best Character: Patrick
Best Scene: Sing the Road Song

300px-Spy_Buddies.JPG

This episode was very innovative for me, especially the production music. THAT was good. The spy theme was something new for SpongeBob for sure. I'm still kind of baffled on how this episode was the start of NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW NEW WEEK! It didn't fit there. It felt like what would be in the middle. It was the only good one out of its two pair episodes. Boat Smarts had ignorant jokes and Good Ol' Whatshisname had too much Squidward abuse. I definitely prefer this one. The ending was a very big twist, and shows that Mr. Krabs and Plankton can still have good competition.

Best Character: SpongeBob
Best Scene: SB and Pat ripping off their disguises

300px-S09E02A-Patrick-Man%21-Titlecard.PNG

This episode goes to show. Patrick can have a job. It may be a FAIL one. The episode was still good. It wasn't the plot that made me like the episode this time, though. It was the jokes. Most of the jokes were actually funny, and I give this episode respect for that. If anything, I didn't like the Dirty Bubble just popping out of nowhere saying he has a plan. That felt down-right pointless. I still couldn't care less. The episode made me laugh and that's good enough, don't you think?

Best Character: Patrick(Man!)
Best Scene: Crime-defeating spree

82
300px-BubblestandTitleCard.png

This was an extremely classic season 1 episode. This was the quintessential s1 ep. How? The animation is pretty obvious. SpongeBob is blowing bubbles with Patrick in a friendly manner, and most of all...... this was probably Squidward's best season 1 performance. He wasn't too grouchy and angry, and wasn't very happy-go-lucky. He had that perfect mixture in this episode. This episode seriously inspired me to blow bubbles foreva.

Best Character: Squidward
Best Scene: His failed bubble-blowing attempts

Great choices! Patrick-Man is one of the best new episodes I've seen in a while, and Bubblestand is classic.

You know what, I will make you guys happy poops.

300px-Mermaid_Man_and_Barnacle_Boy_III.jpg

I'm sorry, but just so you know, this is the only MM & BB episode on this list. Why? Because they're all the same to me except for this one. This one is amazing. First of all, this is Man-Ray's debut performance (and also his best.) Second of all, this is the perfect episode to describe the overall humor of season 2, which was all about conversational gags and not just visual comedy. That's what makes season 2 (especially this episode) just plain awesome.

80
300px-Bubblebuddyreturns.jpg

It's easy to say that this was probably the most anticipated show of season 8. It couldn't be any more obvious why considering it's a sequel to one of the most classic SpongeBob episodes in history! Who DOESN'T love that? Personally, I can't believe how many jokes regarding continuity were NOT in the episode. The only one I found was when Mr. Krabs said "That guy still owes me money." That's kind of why this episode is only number 80 on the list. That and there were a bit too many visual gags in this episode, and that's not really my humor.

300px-Tunnel_Of_Glove.jpg

This episode probably made lots of PearlBob shippers happy, even thought they were probably quite disappointing when Pearl denied liking SpongeBob. I don't really care either way, since I'm not one of the shippers of that relationship. This episode is on the list for me not just for the humor (which was surprisingly really good,) but because of the fact that the last time Pearl and SpongeBob hung out together was in The Chaperone. It was really enjoyable too see them exploring the dark cave of the Glove Tunnel, and all of those robot puppets being a scary all of a sudden. That was funny for me, plus Patrick was amazing in this episode.

78
300px-The_Paper.jpg

This is possibly the rarest episode in SpongeBob history. I've literally seen it only 3 times broadcasted on TV, and I payed attention REALLY closely when I had the chance to see it due to the fact it only airs in February. So how can this kind of episode make the list? Well, it is an extreme hidden gem. It was really funny, as I literally laughed out loud at lots of the scenes. Another plus side is I can easily watch this episode somewhere other than live cable now that you can find the full episode in places like Nick.com. Do I personally care if I rarely ever see this episode? No. I'm okay.

What? You're telling me that the grade A MM&BB V isn't on this list?

*shrug* Sorry. That episode didn't really appeal to me.
