Favorite Title Cards

Because Hailbut's thread became popular (http://www.sbmania.net/forums/topic/38046-halibut-briefly-reviews-sb-title-cards/), I decided to bump this one and make a list of my favorite title card from each season. I think that title card discussions are very interesting.

Season 1- SB-129
What's not to like about it? It fits the enviroment of the episode, it's amazing (beautiful graphics), plus it's moving, and it's the only title card to have a voice saying the episode of the name.

Season 2- Your Shoes Untied
As I said on Halibut's thread, the font is beautiful, it fits the episode, and the background is pleasant to the eye.

Season 3- Wet Painters
Honestly, no idea why. It's just really nice to see.

Season 4- Have you Seen This Snail?
It's EXTREMELY similar to Wet Painters, and the color combination is very nice. BTW, I think that this season and s1 have the weakest title cards.

Season 5- Pest of the West
Once again, it fits the episode's enviroment. Plus, it's fun to see.

Season 6- Single Cell Anniversary
I like the font, and the background is adorable.

Season 7- Kracked Krabs
The design is one of the most original and interesting designs for a title card that Spongebob has. It's a funny pun, and it's overall amazing. I don't like the legends of bikini bottom title cards as much as I should, btw.

Season 8- Hello Bikini Bottom!
Why not? I like how elegent and simplistic it seems.

Season 9 (so far)- Don't Look Now
Season 9 so far doesn't have much nice fonts in the title cards, but out of those, this one is my favorite.

I definitely like the atmospheres in the 'Krusty Krab Training Video', 'Gone', and 'Squilliam Returns'. All very simple designs and fitting to their respectful episode and title.

I also think 'Single Cell Anniv.' Was cool, but I'm not a 100% sure I have the right one in mind.. Need to look it up..

Hmm, I just noticed that some backgrounds used in the earlier title cards are also used in the later ones, but in a different design. It's pretty interesting to compare between the old and new designs.

My Favs Per Season

Season One

Besides the obvious choice of SB-129, Hooky looks very nice.

I like the design of the hooks and the curve shape the words make.

Season 2

Christmas Who? gives me a very nice feeling when I see it.

Looks like nostalgia.

Season 3

Amazing movie reference and a great look for a title card.

Season 4

Wet Painters did the paint effect better, but the title cards are pretty boring this season.

Season 5

This title card looks great and is one of the best of it's season. Whatever Happened to Spongebob did the same effect well too.

Season 6

The creepiest title card ever.

Season 7

TECHNICALLY I prefer "Welcome to Bikini Bottom Triangle" but this one just looks nicer.

Season 8

The extreme closeup actually works here.

Season 9

Beautiful HQ title card! It's almost glowing.
