Do you think Plankton went to jail forever after the first movie?

I mean he enslaved an entire city and its' king, stole the secret formula of another restaurant and also tried to kill three people to reach his goal. I don't see them ever letting him off the hook anytime soon. Karen would have to go to jail too, since she helped him a lot.
 
He was probably sentenced to to jail forever, but I'm sure he'd try to break out. I could see SpongeBob feeling bad for him and visiting him (even after everything that happened, because he's naive like that) and Plankton saying that he learned his lesson and convincing SpongeBob to assist his escape. And then Plankton starts doing horrible things again and SpongeBob realizes he messed up.

If the first Spongebob movie is the canonical ending of the series, that isn't necessarily the end of the character's entire LIVES.

Plankton may have reformed in prison, perhaps he decided to sell his inventions and make money off of them
 
Well, we know he's been in jail before and was under top security. Obviously he still got out despite being considered dangerous, so I wouldn't be surprised if he got out after the first movie as well.
 
He probably got several life sentences, but escaped, took on a new identity, grew a mustache and started working at Cinnabon or something.
