Many of the countries that create this junk (mainly those countries found in Asia, the Middle East and South America) have such relaxed copyright laws, where trademark/trade dress infringement runs rampant...

If those bootleg Krusty Krab restaurants/SpongeBob-themed Restaurants were created in the North America, Europe or Oceania where copyright laws are enforced on the SpongeBob SquarePants IP, the owners would shutter those restaurants in a heartbeat after being issued a cease-and-desist by the international subsidiaries of ViacomCBS and Nickelodeon due to issues of copyright infringement...

Well that's actually already happening to a bootleg SpongeBob restaurant in Texas called The Rusty Krab they are getting sued by Viacom.

ViacomCBS claims a Houston restaurant is similar to Krusty Krab from SpongeBob SquarePants and filed a lawsuit against it under copyright infringement.
