Any forgotten games/consoles you know about?

I haven't gotten to play it yet, but one of my friends owns a Fairchild Channel F from the mid-70s, the very first console to use game cartridges. We really need to have a go at the pong game on it some day, because it looks absolutely bonkers.

It reached its peak in popularity in the late 1970s, around 1978-1979, when it gained considerable attention and sales. However, it faced strong competition from other consoles, such as the Atari 2600, and gradually declined in popularity during the early 1980s.

I like to think of it like the Dreamcast of the early console generations: pretty innovative for its time (just look at those controllers!), but commercially, it never stood a chance. Atari was already set to rule the world for that span of the next few years.

The Nintendo 64 DD, a disk-based add-on never saw release outside Japan as originally planned.
The game that eventually became Mother 3 (EarthBound II/EarthBound 64) started development on the Nintendo 64 DD before being moved to the Nintendo 64, then put on hiatus before being retooled for development on the Game Boy Advance.

The Coleco Vision had an expansion module add-on that allowed people to play Atari 2600 video game cartridges.
