Dreamcast was part of the sixth generation, so it should really be in the "past" section of the poll.

Either way it doesn't matter because the Dreamcast barely gets any love considering all its competitors :P

Oh, and there's a reason the 64 is the best nostalgic system. It simply was a revolutionary system by Nintendo....sigh...back in their golden age.

Then the 6th generation came, and the GameCube, PS2, Xbox, and Dreamcast came. PS2 definitely was the standout from the crowd. It was also my first system and BFBB was my first video game. I'll never forget it.

And I think maybe handheld should have had it's own section in the poll, too. Not for all three time periods, though, just all handhelds against each other for best handheld. They are a different spectrum in gaming altogether and does not compare with console gaming.

And I don't really care for any of the new systems anyway, I sold my PS3 and 360 out of boredom. And besides, we all know the console gaming world will eventually give way for the best of the best gaming in the world. Computers.

My favorite platform is probably the Super Nintendo, followed by the Nintendo 64 in a close second. I always thought both had the best games on the market like the Zelda games, Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Goldeneye 007, etc. As for last gen, I had a Gamecube as my console of choice that generation, I know most people prefer the PS2 the most that gen but the GC has that nostalgic feeling behind it.

As for this gen, I have mixed opinions about it since I originally liked the Wii the best but it started to fall behind the other consoles. I eventually got the PS3 so that's probably my favorite right now.

I grew up with the Gamecube so yea...... BUT, the Wii also has great games and Gamecube games can be played there soooo, that makes me wonder. Although one thing I HATE about the Wii are the controllers.....Like, seriously, YOUR GONNA SMACK SOME ONE IN THE FACE WITH THOSE THINGS!!!! I also enjoy the Nintendo 64 because the games there are AMAZING (Donkey Kong 64) and the Xbox 360 is good to. Never had ps3 or whatever so I don't know what that's like. As for the DS systems, my bro has all 3 and I know some games but ehh, Idk. All in all, every game system has there own unique purpose.

Super Nintendo has some of r best games of all tie and put segue in there place
Nintendo GameCube amazing games great controller and the gba add on is sweet
Xbox 360 again good. Games l0l

Also n64 is the most overrated system of all time bad controller still used cartridges when CDs worked better leaving Sony and going to Phillips creating the play station the n64dd that never came to life and it was a mess like he Mario party glove situation
Ik ima get tons of hate but I just don't like the n64

Sony PlayStation - Kind of underrated, but still a pretty good console.
Nintendo DS - Awesome games, weird graphics
Nintendo Wii - The best console along with its games.

Nostalgia
Nintendo 64 - Played it in some emulators, great games!

Past Platforms
PlayStation 2 - I would always go to my cousin's house to play with it. :P

Current Consoles
Nintendo Wii - Love the homebrew available for it! :D Also, you can never go wrong with Nintendo's exclusives.

Right now, it's PC.

But reality is... there is no best console. It's all subjective. There are terrible consoles, good consoles, great consoles, etc. Best? No way.

Unless you wanna count modern day PC's which can almost do it all.

For Nostalgic Consoles I defiantly say the Super Nintendo
For Past Consoles, that's pretty hard. It's super close between the Gamecube and Playstation 2. I think i'll say PS2.
For current (not current anymore) PS3

For the now nextgen/currentgen I don't know either. All I have is a Wii U but I'll be getting a PS4 sometime soon.

Oh and best handheld console is no doubt the 3DS

PC can do it all! Next-gen gaming, classic games, cool indies, you name it!
Just my opinion:

Consoles can do everything you just named.

I fail to see your point. About indies, let's not forget many of them are released on consoles first (such as FEZ, Castle Crashers, Super Meat Boy, etc.). And this gen, both MicroSoft and Sony are paying a lot of attention to them. Still, I'll give this one the most merit because, PC being an open platform, there's bound to be more indies for it.

The only disadvantage I can see in consoles is mod support. I couldn't care less about upgrading a console with seperate parts because you can get the next one for much cheaper anyway.

But then there's the fact that consoles take longer for upgrades. So this counts as both an advantage and a disadvantage, I guess.

So, yeah, I like PC to play videogames as much as the next guy, and this is really just a matter of preference, but I find it hard considering it superior to consoles.

Just my opinion, though.

I say who the ::dolphin noise:: cares?

You're missing out on good games if you don't play PC, and you're missing out on good games if you don't play console so whatevs

I thought I implied I liked both, but didn't favor PC over the other. I do agree with what you said.

Also that was in reply to the "join the PC master race" post, I quoted the wrong one, and I meant to explain why I didn't consider PC the master race. :P
