202a. Food Con Castaways

This was a really funny episode and I could tell that Ryan and Chris boarded on this. They did a great job with all the wacky expressions and cartoony humor. 8/10

Want do you want to show me? I didn't tell that there wasn't stupid gags and jokes in previous seasons, but they was much better than the jokes from S9b. In addition, you showed me only moments from seasons 5-7

You said something along the lines that the show got stupider starting with Lost in Bikini Bottom, which doesn't include 5-7. That implies that they somehow did them better in those seasons, which I find crazy. You don't really explain why they don't work now but the series has been similarly stupid since Help Wanted, and for the most that's what makes it funny.

Oh and trust me there are stupid moments just like newer episodes in seasons 1-4 imo. I just chose infamous stupid-moments that are dumb in a bad way. I don't want to derail this topic so this will be my last response but re-watching 1-4 I can find an equal amount of weird and zany moments imo.

The joke shop makes them invisible (Pranks a-lot)
When the paint bubble explodes it lands on everything perfectly without touching the paintings, oh and saliva is the only way to get rid of it (Wet Painters)

The episode was storyboarded by Ryan Kramer and Chris Allison which are freelancers.
That's why it was so gross and overly detailed. Future episodes won't be this gross.
 
Best episode of the week. I loved the faces, they were very funny. 9.5/10

Episode: Food Con Castaways

This episode was very good. The plot was nice. I liked the interactions between SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs. There were some funny jokes. 8/10
 
*Spoiler Alert! If you haven't seen the episode, I would strongly recommend to NOT read my review!*
Ever wanted to be stranded in the woods with SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs, I know I have! This episode is a very fun and creative episode of the show and is a complete joy to watch. In the episode, SpongeBob and the gang (Patrick, Squidward and Mr. Krabs) are heading to Food Con to nominate the Krabby Patty for the Golden Cornucopia, but they manage to get lost in the woods due to SpongeBob and Patrick's crazy shenanigans. As they are in the woods, the only food they behold is one single Krabby Patty, and because they are all hungry, the gang fight for the Krabby Patty. I found these segments to be very entertaining, especially the running gag of Squidward getting dropped out of the sky by the snail monster. SpongeBob then, attempts to preserve the Krabby Patty from his savage friends. The gang make it to Food Con and the "Krabby Patty" wins the Golden Cornucopia. Overall, I really enjoyed this episode and it is definately up there as one of the best episodes of Season 9 so far, along with "Sanctuary!", "Lost in Bikini Bottom" and "The Fish Bowl". I can't recommend this episode enough! Overall, I would give this episode a score of 9.5/10! An overall, amazing episode!

Great episode. I'm a sucker for road trip/stranded plots, and the twist ending was sweet. The last five seconds felt like they didn't know how else to end it and decided to settle with a stale "safe" joke, but it's whatever
 
It's a pretty good episode, but since I've stuck watching live episodes on TV, I don't get why Nick is promoting this episode in all the new episode commercials
 
I absolutely loved this episode, probably my co-favorite from 9b along with the sewers of bikini bottom. It was very similar (the backgrounds after 5 minutes) to Club SpongeBob, which is my Season 3 / pre-movie era favorite. The roadtrip vibe of this episode feels very strong, and it can be viewed with "A SquarePants Family Vacation" yet, I think this is much better because the animation and character poses aren't stiff like seasons 6-9a were. Overall, 9.5/10, hope to see more gr8 episodes like this one in Seasons 10 and 11.
