118a. Pet or Pests

I don't even know, just WHY THIS?

This episode is not as bad as people say it is, but I can see why they hate it. To me, it was just a mix between mediocre and average.

Rating: 5.5

Worst Character: The worm

Worst Moment: Whenever the worm babies vomit all over the character's faces.

Out of all the episodes on this site I was a little worried about this I've due to all the negitivity to watch it and when I did I thought it was ok. I didn't really find it to be that gross and I'm the same person that doesn't like face freeze because the faces to me are kind of disturbing. Nothing was amazing just good
6/10

I don't like this episode at all, but I do think people tend to exaggerate how bad it is. Sure, it's gross and not all that funny, but I don't think it's rage-inducing or anything. Oh well, I guess it's all a matter of opinion. Personally I'm much more bothered by mean-spirited episodes than I am by gross, stupid or bland episodes.

I like this episode it is one of the most underrated episode. People hate it cause of the worms, SpongeBob's Cheeks (Which seems the same as it is in other episodes). I find this episode very funny. In real life Gary = a Cat The Worm = a Dog.
Best Character SpongeBob/Gary
8/10

This episode is really bad, but it's definitely not the worst.

-The gross out was annoying
-Larry DIDN'T KNOW SpongeBob (dafuq)
-A whole minute of the episode was just SpongeBob standing at a door -_-
-The artwork of the characters is downright horrendous
-There was virtually no humor
-The plot was executed poorly

What's missing in that list? Abuse. No one was abused, and honestly, I'd take gross-out over abuse anyday. So overall, I give this a 4/10. Episodes like Choir Boys and All That Glitters are FAR worse.

The more watchable version of "A Pal for Gary" with some gross out humor. I'll give this episode that much. It has a bunch of moments that make you wanna go what the ::dolphin noise:: and it had some the weirdest drawings of Mr. Krabs I've ever seen on this show but it really didn't make me angry or anything. When you compare it to that abomination of an episode which is really just an excuse to torture Gary for no reason, this one has a lot more going for it.

Rich Pursel really loves doing these gross out eps ("Fungus Among Us" is another one) so I'm not really surprised that this one would be jam packed with it so I'm not really as bothered by it that much like I am with the more mean spirited or super out of character kind of episodes. I'm ready to dub Season 6 as the gross out season of the show where some of the eps feel like something out of Ren and Stimpy. 5/10

I liked it a lot. Glad I watched it before reading any of the reviews or the negativity might have mildly changed my first impression. 9/10

The only thing that bugs me about it is Larry not knowing SpongeBob. It doesn't seem out of character for him to have forgotten who he is, but I have no idea why SpongeBob would respond "probably not" to him asking if he knows him. That doesn't make sense. An entire point off for that.

Also, maybe just a bit too much of the puffed cheeks. I don't really get why anyone cares what shape his cheeks are when he smiles, but I don't think he should look like he has a mouth full of food in every single expression he gives.

HORRIBLE EPISODE!!!

It Was Boring As Heck And Doesn't Make Any Sense.Really Close To My Top 15 Least Favourite Episodes List...

Oh, brother. I think I'm going to be sick. ANOTHER gross-out, crap-fest from season 6. =_= Why did episode ever exist? Are the writers trying to gross us out, or something? I don't know what or why they were thinking, but there are dozens of problems with this episode. So, it's about SpongeBob adopting a worm that gives birth to babies overnight. Now, I'll just recap the entire episode, and name each and every problem I find.

It typically starts with SpongeBob and Patrick playing leapfrog, and they crash into a nest, and find a "ball", which is actually a disgusting, SCARY looking worm. I'm not even kidding, that worm is HIDEOUS. So hideous that it might scare kids. Now, the part where the worm was shown giving birth was very gross and disturbing, especially for a kids' show. What were the writers thinking? The baby worms were just as ugly, and weren't cute at all. Not to mention they spit gross, green slime! Another major problem with this episode is SpongeBob on the second half. He acted very weird, annoying and unlikable here. And, like any awful season 6 episode, he had those overly-puffy cheeks, again! Also, the part where SpongeBob rang Mrs. Puff's doorbell was an idiotic time-filler, and was very annoying. And, in this episode, Larry the Lobster appeared, but when he talked to SpongeBob, he says "Do I know you?" WTF?!?!?! What the hell is wrong with you, writers?!? Are you seriously making Larry act like he doesn't know SpongeBob after talking to him in many episodes?! Have you forgotten episodes like "Ripped Pants", "MuscleBob BuffPants", "SpongeGuard on Duty", and "A Life in a Day"? That's just inexcusable! And, the ending was one of the worst endings ever in a SpongeBob episode. Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob sell the worms at the end, and the final line is "I don't know. I've never been to the old country! *laughs*" That's it?! That's the best you can do?! I am VERY disappointed in you, writers. This is the crappiest, ugliest, grossest, most unfunny SpongeBob SquarePants season 6 episode EVER. And, I thought "The Splinter" was the worst! SpongeBob fans, do yourselves a favor and stay FAR away from this episode as possible, unless you want to throw up. This atrocious episode has just earned itself a spot in my Bottom 5. 0/10 One of the WORST EPISODES EVER.

Exact same problems I had with this episode pretty much.

And I agree with him.

From a technical standpoint, I hate this episode the most. Just really ugly looking.
