01a. Help Wanted

A great way to start off Spongebob! Introduced us to Spongebob, Patrick and Gary (Though not much of either), Mr. Krabs, Squidward, and ofcourse the KRABBY PATTY! :smirk:

I laughed out loud when Patrick got whammed by the Krabby Patties. I am really glad they started off the series by finding out how he got the job instead of us scratching our heads wondering how the heck HOW? :P

Overall I give the episode a 9.0/10.0!

I love the animation used in the episode, it feels like watching a much older cartoon from the earlier 90s. :)
I agree, and Gary looks...strange to say the least when he says "Meow" in this episode.

Parts I like:
*grunts* Who's a big yellow cube with holes?
SpongeBob's bouncing around the Krusty Krab (nice funny slapstick joke, just went on for a bit too long IMO)
I want my mommy, Mr. Squidward!
montage of SpongeBob feeding the anchovies (awesome song!)
SpongeBob cooking Patrick's patty (same as the montage)

That's because the episode was made and recorded in 1997. :)

This was a great episode and it still is. Plus, it's the perfect way to start the little sea sponge's adventures! The characters were original! SpongeBob wants a job at The Krusty Krab, but Mr. Krabs and Squidward prevent this from happening by telling him to buy a random spatula! Once he leaves, the anchovies arrive and are really hungry. They nearly destroy the restaurant and SpongeBob returns to the rescue. He uses the spatula to his advantage and Mr. Krabs makes money! It's genius! Then, Patrick orders one Krabby Patty and SpongeBob makes a bunch of them! Funny ending. This is an amazing episode and a good pilot episode. I give this winner a 10 out of 10!

I love this episode and is definitly a classic in my book. :rofl2: Its a good way to start off the series because the krusty krab is a huge part of the show. But to think spongebob started off as a show that was underated and then turns out to be one of the most popular tv shows with 8 seasons and counting blows my mind. This episode is a 10 out of 10 for me also I loved the music while spongebob was feeding the achovies.

Great episode to begin with. The Tiny Tim song is a great comedic touch. All the lines were hilarious. I love this. P.S: Does Nick ever play this episode or any others pre-movie anymore?

Premise: 7/10
Execution: 8/10

I love this episode! A perfect way to start the series! This is definately an instant classic!

An excellent start to a still awesome show. No problems with it. Favorite parts were the anchovies invading the Krusty Krab and then SpongeBob cook some Krabby Patty to them. Score 10/10

This is definately the best episode of season 1 ever! I like the idea of how Mr. Krabs sent SpongeBob to get a random spatula and all! And, it was funny when they were pursued by the anchovies! And, the best part is when SpongeBob came and fed them all of those Krabby Patties. The ending was also very funny! Overall, an awesome episode of SpongeBob!

Final Grade: 10/10

No matter how much credit it gets for being the pilot, it was still hilarious! Not to mention the animation! :punk:

9/10 :w00t:

Aww, my other post on this thread was the first post I ever posted on this forum. <3 :) Nostalgia.

Anyways, my rating has changed a little. This episode is still an amazing episode,, but it's not in my top 100, but that's okay, because pilots in my opinion are meant to be improved upon! :)

Great pilot episode. Introduces us to characters, has humor and great plot. The start to my FAVORITE TV show of all time. It did seem dull at times, though.

8/10
