Why didn't they use this island in the new intro?

From Sponge out of Water. It looks a lot better.

I guess because they wanted a more cartoony vibe for the SpongeBob intro? I dunno, I don't work for Nick.

Because they don't have a high enough budget.
They could literally recycles the footage from the movie. They only need a few second shot for the intro.

But the island from the second movie looks very pale in color. And very big.

Also, they couldn't use it because the company that made this for the movie works only for the movies, not the TV shows.

Because this wouldn't work with the animation style the show has...but it could work with SB OUT OF WATER because it included SB,Patrick and etc. going out of the sea, in the real world so it worked on that.

To be honest, it would look better, but unlikely. If they could, they probably would edit it to fit with the show theme.

Maybe because that island was made for a high budget movie, and it looks too realistic, and in the show, they wanted it to look more cartoony.

Because it's way too big. Instead of the second movie one, why couldn't they re-use the one from the first movie? It's significantly smaller and it fits more with the show.
Eh, but I'm not the animation team so what do I know?

The one from the first movie was made specifically for the movie, not for the television.
