I bet that pretty much all of you have seen a 'stock' picture of spongebob.
They are ones that you manly see in merchandise. After spongebob's redesign (new logo e.g) they changed the stock images to higher quality. But which do you prefer? Here is an example-

That first one looks better. Plus, we use it for people who don't have profile pics on here, sooooooooo.....

The old ones by far. I don't like most of the pseudo-3D stock images. Some of them are OK, but a lot of them are kind of creepy and off-model.
doesn't looks creepy to me :P

I never really liked that first stock image..... Makes SB look too..... ugh. IDK. The second one is nice though and great pose. I also really like this one:

I like the second one best, the second one's just cuter.

The old ones definitely have more of that old Spongebob charm. I also like how the colors aren't quite so saturated- it looks more natural that way,

I like the new ones better.

Not sure what you mean by pseudo-3D, it's just paintings. Basically the same way the characters are done in close up shots, and not even just for gross-out gags, most close up still shots are painted.

I definitely prefer the old artwork. It showed that SpongeBob was energetic and always had a smile on his face without having to do things like make his eyes all big and shiny like they do in the modern artwork. However, I do like detailed style they use in the modern artwork, which also explains the reason behind choosing my avatar. It's an old piece of SpongeBob artwork that was redone in the detailed style of the modern artwork. Unfortunately I can't find a higher quality version of it, so this crop from a promotional poster will have to do for now.
