Your Top 5 Favorite Spongebob Songs

Okay, just for fun I decided to make this list. And I'm only going to count songs that were composed by people who work on the show, so songs like "Sweet Victory" from Band Geeks and "Ocean Man" from the movie don't count. So you can pick any song sung in the show or the movie, no matter how stupid it is.

Here are mine.

1) Best Day Ever
I did not like the episode. I first heard the song on the movie soundtrack when it first came out. Seriously, it's a freaking good song! Also, apparently Tom Kenny wrote it. You know, Tom Kenny, the guy who does the voice of Spongebob? That makes it feel all the more personal for his character. Also, it is a VERY fun song to sing in the shower.

2) STEPPIN ON THE BEACH

3) Krusty Krab Pizza
Some day, I want to order a pizza from Domino's and request that the delivery guy sing this to me. Seriously, that would rule.

4) Never Give Up (Hello Bikini Bottom Duet)
IMO, post-movie episodes range from "eh, it's all right" to "really bad," but "Hello Bikini Bottom Part 2" is probably the only episode that I consider just as good as the ones in pre-movie seasons. At the end of the episode, Spongebob and Squidward sing a duet- and at the end, Squidward is playing his clarinet, with Spongebob accompanying him on the ukulele. It's a really beautiful scene. (And you really don't get too many heartwarming scenes of these two in the new episodes.)

I said that "Sweet Victory" doesn't count, because it wasn't specifically composed for the show- it's a song from the 80s.

I feel like an idiot for forgetting "The FUN Song," though...

Oh yeah, I forgot about Patrick's song from "Sing A Song of Patrick!" That song is hilarious.

OOOOOH, OK! I thought you meant wasn't composed by someone working on the show, sorry. Then i replace that one with gary come home.

I'm sorry!! (Sweet Victory is an awesome song. But I feel that adding songs like that and "Ocean Man" would be cheating!)

9) The Very First Christmas (cause this Christmas feels like the very first Christmas to mee)
8) Underwater Sun (Down down down to the bottom of the sea...)
7) Never Give Up (genius, what else can I say, it was amazing)
6) Doing the Sponge (It may just be because of the scene with the pretzel knot, the giant apple, the fish breaking their legs and everything else but this was a great song. Also when the title's out of context...yeah)

3) I Wrote This aka Twinkle Twinkle Patrick Star (from one of the best post-movie episodes ever)

I looked it up and apparently "Beautiful Dreamer" was written by Stephen Foster and the copyright date is 1864. But woah, Squidward's cover of it is pretty darn soothing in a weird sort of way.

Doing the Sponge was hilarious.

Livin in the Sunlight, or at least the version fron Help Wanted, was recorded/sung by Tiny Tim in the 60s. I love that song anyway, though. Tiny Tim is awesome.

Woah, I listened to "A Day like This," because I hadn't heard it before, but it was good! I wouldn't be surprised if Tom Kenny wrote that one. Does anyone know who wrote that one?
