Hey everybody! A lot of people do this and don't finish them. I got inspired by Roadie to do this. Anyways, I'll be reviewing every single episode, short and special and then, we shall determine what my favorite episode really is! Similar to Roadie's list, I will put all the episodes on a 1-20 list to see my top 20, 15, 10, and 5 episodes when we are finished with this list. I watch the episode before reviewing, so you can really see what i think of it at that moment. So anyways, I'll review an episode pair whenever I can. A major note here is that i am very busy on certain days, so I will most likely not be able to review an episode everyday on weekdays, weekends, I can get more into.

Grading Scale:
10.0/10.0 = Perfect
9.0/10.0-9.9/10.0 = Amazing
8.9/10.0-8.5/10.0= Great
8.4/10.0-8.0/10.0= Good
7.9/10.0-7.0/10.0= Decent
6.9/10.0-6.5/10.0= Okay
6.4/10.0-6.0/10.0= Meh
5.9/10.0-5.0/10.0= Mediocre
4.9/10.0-4.0/10.0= Bad
3.9/10.0-3.0/10.0= Awful
2.9/10.0-2.0/10.0= Horrible
1.9/10.0-1.0/10.0= Terrible
0.9/10.0-0.0/10.0= Unwatchable and can die in a fire for all I care.

So I hope you guys enjoy my list! Here's the first review: (The Help Wanted title card is displaying weirdly and making a huge space, so please ignore that.)

Plot: SpongeBob gets hired at The Krusty Krab

The very first episode really does introduce the whole show to you, SpongeBob gets hired at The Krusty Krab, where we would see him a lot in the following 15 years. The episode was actually made in 1997, and it's one of the two episodes the creator, Steven Hillenburg wrote. Anyways, I'll cut all this out and actually review the episode. We are introduced to the yellow optimistic sponge who lives in a pineapple. So SpongeBob runs out convinced he would get hired at The Krusty Krab. He thinks he can't do it until Patrick goes to him and tells him that he can defiantly work at The Krusty Krab. Yes, Patrick, a moronic and sometimes unlikeable character just convinced SpongeBob that he can do this. I'm sorry, but I'm gonna go ahead and say the modern-day Patrick would never do that. In these earlier episodes, Patrick wasn't a complete idiot, just lazy and a bit clumsy.

To be honest, so far this episode hasn't really tried at humor and was a bit bland at first. The episode has been a good introduction to the characters, though. Anyways, back to the episode. Squidward, who also works at the KK does not want SB at his job, so he tell Mr. Krabs about him and that he should not be hired. So they tell SpongeBob to go and get a "Hydro-Dynamic Spatula with starboard attachments and turbo drive. Then, anchovies invade the KK and try to buy a ton of Krabby Patties. SB actually finds the spatula and saves the day by making a million Krabby Patties accompanied by the most fitting music ever. This part was quite funny just because of the music. SB is then hired for saving their lives, much to Squidward's dismay.

This episode was very early, and had a pretty different character design then what we would see in the future. I do like the old animation, to be honest :) This episode was pretty good at introducing the character's personalities (other than Krabs, he only was in love with his money for a moment) it wasn't that humorous but when it was, it turned out pretty well.

Best Character: SpongeBob
Best Quote: Tie between "I want my mommy Mr. Squidward!" and "I'll prove I'm fry cook material! Just ask Squidward!" *walks away with Mr. Krabs and breathes in* "No."
Best Moment: Anchovy food frenzy

Decent

Reef_Blower.jpg

Plot: SpongeBob and Squidward use reef blowers to get a shell of their lawns

A lot of people do not like this episode, due to it's shortness and lack of dialogue. In fact, the microphones did not work during the production of this episode, which explains the lack of any talking. So, it's pretty simple. SpongeBob and Squidward are trying to be rid of a shell on their lawns and they mess around with reef blowers. There's not that much to say, other than i hate the lack of talking. Whenever I say this, people bring Tom & Jerry to the case, but T&J had action and violence which made up for that and last time I checked, playing with reef blowers is not very violent. It's very boring and now interesting at all, I wouldn't watch it again. The episode is very bland and I'll just say it right now: it's not gonna be on the top 20. Music is nice, though :) You can't do much without dialogue, so it has a bit of an excuse for having a low score.

Best Character: SpongeBob
Best Quote: ....Okay fine, "You!"
Best Moment: None really, it's 2 minutes long.

Bad

Tea_at_the_Treedome.jpg

Plot: SpongeBob meets Sandy, and she invites him over for tea, but she breathes air, and SB cannot.

In this episode we are introduced to Sandy, a character that i like very much. It begins with SpongeBob jellyfishing when he overhears screaming. He runs to the screaming and meets Sandy, battling a clam. She talks about how she lives in air, and SpongeBob, who has no idea what air is says he likes it, so Sandy invites him to her house because apparently he likes air. Patrick says that she is just using fancy talk and to be fancy, you have to keep your pinky up (AKA saying FU in China) SpongeBob goes to Sandy's and finds himself to be very dry. He tries not to absorb all the water in the water fountain and in a vase, constantly saying "I don't need it!"
What I didn't like was that Sandy didn't even know that SpongeBob had dried up and is clearly in need of help. Patrick also joins in and gets dry in like 2 seconds, which was unfair for him. So then Sandy gives them tea in helmets so they can survive, the episode is mostly made up of SB getting through the dryness, but it was overall not too bad. I like Sandy, but I disliked how she didn't even react to SB in pain.

The concept of SpongeBob and friends dry and out of water is a fun thing to do when your characters live out of water, but this episode wasn't very fun at all. The main thing I would like in an episode is for it to be funny, I want humor.

Best Character: Patrick
Best Quote: "When in doubt, pinky out!"
Best Moment: None

Meh

Well our first pair was pretty meh, I wasn't much of a big fan of the show's earliest episodes. The upcoming episodes are big improvements. We'll go blow bubbles and hope not to rip our pants!

Edited first post with a rating scale and extra comments on Reef Blower and Tea at the Treedome. I'll try to get Bubblestand and Ripped Pants up once I'm home from school. :)

I'm following it.

I actually love Help Wanted, but I kinda hate Mr. Krabs in this episode. I also kinda hate Squidward in this episode as well.
Reef Blower is decent. It may be kind of boring.
Tea at the Treedome was good. But, Patrick didn't help SpongeBob anything.

But your not on the following list :P

Oh. My failure then. I didn't knew it. :|

Here's the next two episodes! :D
Plot: SpongeBob builds a stand to blow bubbles for 25c

One thing I love about SpongeBob are it's simplistic plots. Adventure Time and Regular Show have pretty complex crazy plots that are hard to follow (Still, I love both of those shows) But SpongeBob has a plot where SB, Pat and Squidward just sort of hang out and blow bubbles, pretty much. Anyways, time for the review. This episode begins with SpongeBob waking up to a beautiful peaceful day and completely destroys the peacefulness by building a stand loudly, which was ironically funny. he builds it really quietly by slowly hitting the nail. SB opens a little stand where you can blow bubbles for 25c. Patrick wants to blow a bubble, but he has no money, so he borrows a quarter from SB, only to just give it right back to him, which was funny. Patrick fails epiclly to blow a bubble, so SB shows him a technique.
spongebob-technique-o.gif

The technique has always been a classic part to me, it's just so crazy and random. BRING IT AROUND TOWN! BRRRINNGGG ITTT ARRROUUNNDDD TTTOOOWWWNNN!!! SB makes some awesomely shaped bubbles (I wish you could make those in real life!) Which is where Patrick's classic "IT'S A GIRAFFE!" line follows. Squidward complains about this and can't resist but to blow a bubble, but also fails, because you cannot blow a bubble without spinning, landing on your right foot, and making these insane poses. He finally uses the technique and makes a huge bubble by screaming into the wand :p "Squid's got jeans/genes!" The bubble soon enough absorbs it's house into it, and before you know it, Squidward's above land in a bubble. He sort of deserved it, for saying that he made the perfect bubble without SB's help, even though he showed him the whole technique, and it worked.

This episode was a major improvement of the major "meh-ness" of our first 3 episodes. This episode was loaded with humor and silliness, it's surely a classic, and an episode that would probably be mentioned if you were explaining SB to someone for the first time. The simple plot was nice and I would definitely rewatch this episode many times.

Best Character: SpongeBob and Patrick
Best Quote: "It's a giraffe!"
Best Moment: The technique

Good

Plot: When SpongeBob rips his pants, he becomes a laughing stock. He continues it until everybody thinks it's annoying.

This is another well known classic. Lol, usually i have an opening thingy about the episode but that's all I can really say 🤣 The episode begins with SpongeBob and Sandy at Goo Lagoon, where there is a weight-lifting competition. Since SpongeBob can't even hold a 1-pound weight, he uses marshmallows, again exaggerating his weakness. He can hardly even hold marshmallows on a stick, so he rips his pants, which everybody laughs at. Scooter tells him that it's funny, so SpongeBob gets the idea of repeating the same thing over and over, seriously, this whole episode is mostly SpongeBob ripping his pants in different scenarios.
Finally, people quit thinking it's funny when SpongeBob takes it to the extreme by faking his death. He starts to feel like the biggest loser on the beach, until other fish with sunburn, got buried under the sand and was forgotten, and then there's the guy who got sand in his buns (No, just his burger buns :p) They then sing an awesome number, which is the main reason this episode is that popular.

As you saw, this review was pretty short. Why? The episode isn't hard to explain. It's SB ripping his pants repetitively. I expected the episode to get a good review, I remember it being pretty good, but the only good part was the song.

Best Character: SpongeBob
Best Quote: "I-I need a tailor... BECAUSE I RIPPED MY PANTS AGAIN!"
Best Moment: the song

Isn't it strange that we get a Squid Abuse and Plankton episode so early? We've gotten these non-stop in later seasons.(I'm looking at you, Season 6 and 7.) Enough said, I'll begin now :)
Plankton.jpg

Plot: Plankton, a villan who has been trying to steal the Krabby Patty Secret Formula for years now, controls SpongeBob's body to steal the formula.

In this episode, we are introduced the main character, Plankton. The premise of this episode sounds great, and we'll see how it goes now! It opens with SpongeBob making Krabby Patties while speaking French (I don't really know either.) It turns out the patty was under Squid's nose. "Haha, SpongeBob! you're killing me! You really are..." Out of nowhere the patty begins to move around all over the place. It was just Plankton, and Krabs explains what he has been doing for a living. This guy really is bad... he went to college! :p On his way home, SpongeBob encounters Plankton trying to get the formula from him by acting nice and claiming it was his birthday. For some reason, i always find it pretty funny when Plankton is trying is trying to act nice!
As SB sleeps, Planktons invade's his brain to control him to get the Krabby Patty formula. This part was especially funny, and one part I love was "Time for a well balanced breakfast!" *Foods balance on head* "This isn't what i had in mind!" I also loved when Plankton controlled SpongeBob and made him say the rudest but most hilarious things! He finally gets him into the Krusty Krab and releases it into The Chum Bucket. "This is my lab! And this is my laboratory!" When dropping the Krabby Patty into the analyzer, Plankton runs to get it and falls into it. "Plankton- 1% Evil 99% Hot gas"

This episode was phenomenal! It was a major improvement of our last episodes! Lots of humor was found in this, and Plankton showed to be a great character! He was funny (not only that, cute!) The idea was impressive, and the execution turned out well too!

Best Character: Plankton
Best Quote: Tie between: "Booster seat? HOT DOG!", "Time for a well balanced breakfast!" *Foods balance on head* "This isn't what i had in mind!" and "This is my lab! And this is my laboratory!"
Best Moment: When Plankton put on the record and the alphabet played and Plankton's "you're a jerk" speech.

Plot: SpongeBob, Squidward and Patrick go jellyfishing

Ahh, this episode is another mark in SB history as the past episodes also were with introducing characters and recurring plots. Here, we also have a simple plot. They go jellyfishing. This episode's characters have SB, Pat and Squid, which will obviously end up in Squidward being annoyed and in pain, BUT that doesn't mean the episode will be terrible. Let's go! It begins with SpongeBob and Patrick doing an epic action scene before heading to the fields of the jellyfish. I really liked when SB and Pat's hands burn from sliding down the rope. It even looked painful as they traveled down. When it seems so action-packed, they skip away chanting "La la la la la!" They go off to have "the best day ever" when they jellyfish with Squidward. (A certain Season 4 episode also has "the best day ever" :p)
Squidward ignores their idea and bikes off, where he gets stung by jellyfish, and even falls off a cliff. This scene seems very hard to watch, really, but everybody loves Pre-Movie so much that this painful moment is ignored. It was only funny when the unexpected explosion happened! Squid comes back from the hospital and SpongeBob and Patrick are in his home where they throw him a party. Later, they begin that "best day ever" by going jellyfishing. Since Squidward is in a wheelchair and full of bandages, Patrick sticks a jellyfish net through his hand. This is the popular "Firmly grasp it!" scene that is really painful and unnecessary when looking back. They sing the "Da da da da dum!" song, which I always enjoyed for some reason :p Now, Squidward catches a jellyfish. Ready for some more Squid Abuse? Well the jellyfish's mom appears and completely destroys Squidward. Squidward brings back that jellyfish and releases it to SB and Pat, and it stings them. They sort of deserved it here, SpongeBob and Patrick really were annoying in this one. So after SB and Pat run away and get stung. Squidward gets stung by the mother jellyfish. AGAIN.

This episode is not acknowledged for the intense Squid Abuse found here, He gets hot soup spilled on his face, fell off a cliff, got stung by a huge jellyfish and had a net stuck through his hand, I think this was a lot worse than most Post-Movie episodes, actually. Other than this, the episode was pretty meh, not that much humor unless you find Squid in pain to be funny.

Best Character: Squidward
Best Quote: None
Best Moment: The explosion

Okay

Well, that pair is done with. Half great and half okay. Plankton! was great but Jellyfishing relied on Squid Abuse a bit too much, which prevented other humor to get in. Pair total: 8.0/10.0
