Does Mrs. Puff Wear a Wig?

I was looking at SpongeBob pictures when I came across a picture similar to this one from the episode, "Hall Monitor". So I went to watch apart of the episode again where Mrs. Puff is assigning the new hall monitor at about 1:40 in the video and saw it true. Does Mrs. Puff wear a wig, or is it just a gag?

I thought there was another episode where something similar happens to her hair. Let me try to think of which one it was.
 
I think it's just a cartoon gag. But Mrs. Puff is pretty mysterious. :ph34r:
 
Mrs. Puff looks so... small without that wig. o.o

HOPEFULLY a gag. :P
 
Not too many characters I can think of (apart from Sandy) have hair. As Mrs Puff is (in fact) a fish, it seems logical to me that if she is going to have hair it would really be a wig (in the same way Squidward dons a wig sometimes). Great sight gag though.
 
I'd believe it... seems completely possible that she would wear a wig
None of the other female fish in the show have hair (at least all the random background ones)
 
this could change history..nope mrs. puff was just in shock and the quivery motion made an uplifting thrust thus making it appear to be a floating wig.
 
I do not think that Mrs. Puff wears a wig because in DD she had bandages on her head and they were over her hair. If she did wear a wig, then the bandages would be under.

Mrs. Puff's hair jumping off was probably just some kind of gag.
 
Its probably just a gag. Or it is a wig because Mrs Puff had to move to new city, start a new boating school with a new name and just so she wouldn't get caught she decided to get a wig to complete her disguise. Just a thought.

It could be a gag. A lot of cartoons have done this type of gag so it's not the first time you'll see her hair probably do that…or anyones hair for that matter.

It could also be a wig. Most fish in Bikini Bottom don't really have hair. I'm pretty sure Puffer Fish don't have hair to begin with. At least I can't find any mentioning of it online. So, maybe it really is a wig.
