Why was there an overlap between seasons 8 and 9?

Does anybody know why the first couple episodes of season 9 aired before the last few episodes of season 8?

Eh, Nickelodeon has a weird airing schedule, it's not like a broadcast network, so sometimes a season starts before another season ends.

It's because, season 8 might've been produced already, but the episodes were held back from airing. So, they must have worked on season 9 right after season 8.

There was slight overlap with Seasons 2 and 3.
Also, in terms of airing order, Seasons 6 and 7 are incredibly hard to tell apart.

You might be right, because the last few S8 episodes aired in Standard-Definition, while the first few episodes of S9 aired in HD.
