Why I Relate To Patrick Star

A lot of adult Spongebob fans say that they relate to Squidward, but I feel like the older I get, the more I relate to Patrick. Here's why.

1) He's not very smart, and he's pretty aware of that

2) He feels overshadowed by the achievements of his best friend

3) He sucks at almost everything he does

4) He's insecure about his looks

5) He's got anger issues and seeks constant validation from others

6) He can be a huge dlck, but he tries to be a good person... most of the time

I relate to Patrick too. Unlike Squidward, I also realize when there are things I'm not skilled at, but I'm not as stupid as Patrick and there are things I excel at too.

Patrick comes across as a person who hasn't really found a "calling" or purpose in life. I hope he finds it.
 
I'm a little of SB, and a little of Patrick, with a bit of Sandy thrown in.
 
#4 is so relatable for me. I'm so unsure about my looks. Even I question my personality and my ashamed moments when I was a kid and when I was going through puberty O_o

#2 As for that, I feel opposite, people irl praise me too much.

I could relate to all 5 of these.
I can also relate to Squidward's cynicism, hatred, and desire to not deal with people.

I relate to both Spongebob and Patrick. Patrick for all of the reasons I already listed, and Spongebob because he cries a lot and is also short.
 
People who relates to Squidward are just edgy emos. Patrick is the real deal.
