What's the difference between the Spongebob and Patrick in SB-129

And the Spongebob and Patrick in Ugh

Are they the same species? Or is it a animation goof or something?
 
They probably forgot about SB-129 when making Ugh.

Either that, or they wanted to make em look different and start fresh.
 
SB&Pat are wearing clothing in ugh but in SB-129 they only have pads
SB&Pat have fangs in SB-129 but in UGH they have regular teeth

The Spongebob and Patrick in SB-129 made a cameo in Ugh.
 
Probably a couple hundred years and/or higher intelligence.

In SB-129, they don't even have built houses.
In Ugh, they have built houses, fires, and even a language.
 
Ugh probably takes place a couple thousand years after SB-129.

Ohh, ok. Now I know what you're talking about. I forgot about the song.
 
Sponge-gar and Pat-tar are both more advanced and further in the future than the original ones in SB-129.
 
What Pineapple said. I always considered the primates from SB-129 to before SpongeGar and Pattar. SpongeGar and his friends look a lot more evolved with their clothes, how they're able to think more closely to us today and etc.
 
Now after looking at them both, I see the Ugh ones as Homer Simpson.
I'm weird, aren't I?

It's unlikely that they forgot, as scenes from "SB-129" were seen in "When Worlds Collide"
