I'm just wondering this, because many characters state that Plankton's chum taste awful, inedible, disgusting, or unappetizing. But, the question is, why DOES it taste bad? Well, Plankton DID mention that the ingredients were seahorse snout, whale blubber, jellyfish squeezings, and a sprinkle of anchor rust in Spongicus. What do those ingredients have in common? They're made from fish! So, I think that it only tastes bad to the Bikini Bottomites, because it was made from fish, which the townsfolk themselves ARE fish! And, apparently the only guys that can handle Plankton's chum is Patrick, as shown in Chum Caverns and Free Samples. If you guys disagree or have a hypothesis, tell me what you guys think makes Plankton's chum inedible.

That's a good answer. i thought of that after seeing the name.

Plankton has an evil trait, naturally he would put bad ingredients on his chum, he's just evil.

That is probably our answer. If those ingredients sound disgusting to us humans, they must be twice as disgusting to fish. :bleh: And Squirrels, I guess, from seeing Sandy's reaction to eating raw chum in "Squirrel Record."

I thought it was because his food isn't made with love like Krabby Patties are.

Because it's ground up bits of dead fish, which probably doesn't appeal to normal citizens of Bikini Bottom, since they are fish themselves. :p

Well since Plankton is a bad guy I'm Pretty sure most of that bad went into his chum... Also Since Spongebob cooks with love the krabby patties taste amazing!

That's basically the reason.

And chum is made of fish related items. ;)

I second this least complicated of the explanations. :p

New episode idea: Krabs adds chum to the menu, and it tastes great because SpongeBob is such a good fry cook. U mad, Plankton?
