reflection from mulan coz i am very reserved and i have lots and lots of anxiety so i keep things to myself and do not really show my true personality plus i am always worrying about how people see me and fitting in and stuff! i just want to be my true self:(((((

I relate to this so much. Also, "Go the Distance" from Hercules because I've struggled with fitting in and finding where I belong, especially in high school, and "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast because I often like to escape my life through books/shows/movies.

Might've been a predictable choice...

As someone who had never been very successful in maintaining social relationships as a child due to autism - alongside a few personality quirks such as me being an introvert - I always felt a little distant and away from everyone else. There was nothing I wanted more than to "be where the people are." I wanted lots of friends - people I could trust and people who genuinely enjoyed my presence.

Over the years, I suppose, I've felt like I've been getting closer and closer to becoming Part Of That World I ever so wanted as a kid, because I have been making quite a few friends since I started secondary school in 2011 - recently, our original group consisted of just guys, but we then merged with a group of girls and become a decent sized squad. But still, I yearn to improve upon myself. I want adventure, and to do things with these people, in order to be able to say that I am one with them.
