Don't you know? Trees decided to start going underwater to do research. It was big news back in 2002, but the hype has died down since then.

Notable trees that have gone underwater include Groot, the Giving Tree, Fluttershy, most Ents and that tree boss in every Kirby game.

Patrick obviously paid the police to help make the game more authentic. Besides, [spoiler3]you can't always expect his usual brand of stupidity.[/spoiler3]
