Mobile gaming hasn't died off but its bad reputation has impacted it greatly. There's still a ton of (good) mobile games with a decent sized playerbase. The issue is because of all the low quality garbage that's pushed by the app/playstore and ads, most people are quick to judge every mobile game as trash and the playerbase as brain dead and many people won't admit to playing mobile games. There's pretty much a whole genre of YouTubers that solely make videos on bad mobile games and bad mobile game companies and then make fun of people who play them. I do agree that most of the games popular in 2011-2013 have lost their popularity, but most of the blame falls on the companies for making bad decisions (Rovio especially). At the same time, most people only use their phone to text/call and watch YouTube and TikTok or scroll thru Snapchat and Instagram.Makes me wonder whatever happened to mobile games. I remember things like words with friends and angry birds being huge in 2011-13, and then it just…wasn’t. In fact, I don’t think I know anyone who actually plays games on their phone. Did mobile gaming just kinda die off?
It was a real question. I honestly hadn't really thought about it much until I heard the news of Tapped Out shutting down. I definitely agree those mobile game ads are hot garbage. Actually, I never play the good ones either because I have very little space on my phone and just don't really play games in general much anymore (though I'd love to change that soon).Mobile gaming hasn't died off but its bad reputation has impacted it greatly. Sorry if your last sentence wasn't actually a question.
Most of the good mobile games need a huge amount of space, tho there are some that don't. I hope you get the space needed to get some games. I will warn you that half of the good ones are a bit time consuming at times (tho once u play enough it doesn't take too much unless there's an event with stuff you like and want to get).It was a real question. Yes. It's called "Freemium Isn't Free".why did the ads of this game made it look fun, but it's really not? it just turns into one of those boring free to play win games that you do microtransactions to keep going, didn't south Park make an episode exactly about these types of games?
you know you're a bad genre of games if south Park makes an entire episode to make fun of you XDYes. It's called "Freemium Isn't Free".
Unfortunately, lots of mobile games are like this, and The Simpsons: Tapped Out is just one of many.you know you're a bad genre of games if south Park makes an entire episode to make fun of you XD
i swear, mobile games nowadays are just either play to win or bombarded with adds, the only actual good mobile games are very rare to findUnfortunately, lots of mobile games are like this, and The Simpsons: Tapped Out is just one of many.
Family Guy, Disney, Goosebumps, and even SpongeBob have or have had games like this. Feels like almost every well known franchise has to have a game like this. I will say the best of the bunch is def the Goosebumps one.Unfortunately, lots of mobile games are like this, and The Simpsons: Tapped Out is just one of many.
