Season 9B was amazing. It was a breath of fresh air to see the show pull out some consistently good episodes. In fact, I would rank Season 9 better than Season 5 because of it. However, after Season 9B, the quality of the show fell pretty terribly. Here are the reasons why I think that is the case.

The only episode I found that didn't have any of these elements was Mimic Madness.

The Animation
Almost every episode of this season involves crashes and bangs and booms and someone getting hurt. The gross-out is pretty bad, especially in Code Yellow. Why? Season 9B's animation was perfect, in my opinion.

The Characters
SpongeBob and Patrick are switch between being somewhat mature and being absolutely idiotic. When the plot of the episode is about Squidward tricking them, they are as stupid as you can possibly imagine. Any other time, they're like their Season 1 selves.

Squidward switches between the cynic from Season 6 who gets constantly tortured, to a jerk who tries to get rid of SpongeBob and Patrick.

Mr. Krabs is still as greedy as ever, and even goes so far as to murder Squidward for money.

In the three episodes where Sandy appears in this season, in one of them, she's a plot device who solves the mystery of where the Whirlybrains are. In Sportz?, she's a character who's fine with beating up Squidward in multiple ways.

The Lack of Dialogue Humor
One thing about the "bad seasons" of SpongeBob were that they still had witty quotes. Nowadays, there is almost nothing funny about any of these episodes. Sure, SpongeBob and Patrick playing with sports equipment might be "interesting".

The lack of dialogue humor makes this show really bland. It's pretty hard to sit through all of these episodes, especially because of the next point.

The Repetition
There isn't a single episode of this show where Squidward wins in a battle against SpongeBob, or Plankton steals the formula. However, they have had success before, like in Band Geeks and Plankton's Pet.

In this Season, if an episode features Squidward or Plankton, you know that they will lose in the end. In every single episode where either one of these characters appears, they both lose in the end somehow. Even in Out of the Picture and Lost and Found, where Squidward did nothing wrong, he still loses. It's getting pretty repetitive by now.

There's also the fact that Season 10 reuses a lot of previous episodes.

Unreal Estate reused Home Sweet Pineapple and Home Sweet Rubble.

House Worming reused Jellyfish Jam and *shudder* a Pal for Gary.

SpongeBob's Place reused Banned in Bikini Bottom.

Plankton Gets the Boot reused Single Cell Anniversary.

Plankton Retires reused New Leaf.

Conclusion
Basically, I don't find Season 10 to be all that great. Considering how all three Season 11 episodes that have already aired each have some of these elements, I don't exactly have high hopes for improvement.

The Lack of Dialogue Humor

While Season 10 is obviously a step down from Season 9, I still find it to be better than most Seasons we've had in the past decade. I understand there are more flaws in Season 10 than 9, I think the hate in this case is a little too extreme. I definitely respect your opinion, as I'm glad to see someone not biased against Season 10 (Most people have blindly praised Season 10 in my opinion, outside of this forum, despite the fact that it had plenty of flaws. I think the one major reviewer who isn't biased against post prequel [Not a sequel to the first move] is PieGuyRulz. He praises the good of modern episodes, and criticizes the bad of modern episodes). Here's my opinions to weigh in on the recent trend on SBM (While not as annoying or popular as the trend of criticizing The Loud House. Like this trend of criticizing Season 10, most people bring up the same reasons consistently for the Loud House, and bring nothing new to the table).

The Animation

I'm probably one of the few that really like the wacky-over-the-top animation. It brings a lot of entertaining, and enjoyable visuals. Season 9B did an excellent job stepping up the animation, and this Season is going full on Ren & Stimpy in terms of animation. I like it. It's a unique experiment, and really enhances the quality of the series, making it stand out more than any other modern cartoon in terms of animation. The animation in Season 10 is a lot more impressive and expressive than the animation in most modern cartoons, like TTG, The Loud House, the Mickey Mouse Shorts, Milo Murphy's New Law, Bunsen is a Beast!, etc.

I prefer this over the cruel stiffness of Seasons 6-9A any day. Should it be toned down? Sometimes, yes. It can often be unnecessary, but I honestly wouldn't mind seeing this be kept in the series.

The complaint about gross out humor, c'mon. One episode the writers decide to pull a gross out gag, and automatically it's a problem with the Season? This irks me a lot. Fans and Critics alike complain are so sensitive about gross out humor, to the point where the series can't use them anymore. Look at Nasty Patty, a classic example of gross out humor done right. Sometimes, we need a gross out gag every once in a while, because if it's done well, with a good balance of being shocking, but also not being too repulsive, then it's fine. I feel as if the writers should do what they please, and if they want to do a gross out gag, I think they have the right to so. The reason people grew to hate gross out gag was that shows did them so often. Fanboy & Chum Chum, Sanjay & Craig, SpongeBob (Around Seasons 6-9), these shows had a problem with using gross out gags too much. Gross out gags are good in small doses, hence why Code Yellow does it properly. Do I hate the gross out closeup of Squid's foot? Of course, it makes me squirm. Does that mean the episodes awful? No. People tend to overreact to gross out gags, especially nowadays when they're very limited within the series. It made sense when they were done so much back in Seasons 6-9, but there hasn't been one since Squid Baby, and episode that aired about 4 years ago.

Also, as for "Crashes, bangs, and booms", just look at the greatest Looney Tunes out there. I guarantee all of them contain these elements within them. If it's done right, it can stick with you, and be really funny. Dying for Pie is a great example of this. If these jokes flop, they're just forgettable, and don't really do much harm to the episodes.

The Characters

One of the biggest argument about Season 10 is how the Season treats Squidward. There's actually some episodes where he is in character. Mimic Madness, Mermaid Pants, Unreal Estate, and Code Yellow. These are prime examples of him being in character. His wacky side is still frequently seen, but think about it. This series has been going on for over 18 years. If they kept him as the boring old grouch, he just wouldn't be entertaining anymore. Squidward had some brilliant one-liners in the first half of the series, but in the second half, it's pretty hard to find one that'd stick with you. This is why they had to spice things up with him. Make him have more of a personality outside of his usual grumpy self, because then it leads to a boring, repetitive character, almost as repetitive as the "Plankton disguises" episodes.

The writers by this point understand the hate for Squidward's abuse, and frequently make it warranted for the character to get abused with comedic results. This is why episodes with Squidward acting like a jerk to SpongeBob and Patrick appear as much as they do.

Also, SpongeBob & Patrick becoming dead brained apes around Squidward has been around for a llloooooooonnnngggg time. I noticed that SpongeBob was intelligent at work, but was an idiot around Squidward as far back as 2009. The characters have at least become less flanderized than before, with Patrick not being a complete idiot like he was before (Look at Season 8. Sometimes he's a dimwit, with some smarts like in Hello Bikini Bottom!, other times he has no brains like in Smooth Jazz in Bikini Bottom).

Also, Krabs being greedy is an issue I only see in Out of the Picture. As the one who seemed to start the train of negative thoughts about the episode on it's thread, I focused so much on it, especially since other episodes in this Season doesn't have Krabs as greedy as he is in Out of the Picture. All other episodes, I can't find a case for him being super greedy.

The Lack of Dialogue Based Humor

This is present in Season 9B as well. Most of my favorite jokes in Season 9B are visual gags, it's just that this Season amped them up so much, that now we really notice the lack of it. It's kind of a distracting flaw when watching episodes, as I usually find great enjoyment out of the entertaining visuals. I do agree, it is a problem.

Repetition

I would be worried about this, if it weren't for the fact that Season 11 seems to have a lot of great episodes coming up. Also, we have yet to fully judge, since Feral Friends, Don't Wake Patrick, and the Incredible Shrinking Sponge have yet to come out. They all have pretty original plots to me. I agree, there are episodes in this Season that feel like rehashes of older episodes (FINALLY! SOMEONE CRITICIZES PLANKTON GETS THE BOOT! FOR BEING LIKE SINGLE CELL ANNIVERSARY!)

Season 10 may be average, but Season 11 looks like a big step up.

*insert point of being fine with Squidward's personality change if it was still in character and wasn't done in most episodes he's in here*

I wasn't going to ask you anything else, but because of your threat I am.

So, what is your opinion on My Little Pony, bronies, and Jake Paul?

Incredible Shrinking Sponge have yet to come out.
Haven't you heard about the English audio having aired in Russia?
And yes, I agree with pretty much about everything you said. Except for the repetition one: I don't mind having the same concept that has been used before again, they need to just execute it properly.

I agree. Sometimes I enjoy it if a concept is improved, and becomes just as, if not more memorable than the episode it's similar to. For instance, I really like Shellback Shenanigans, and it's a "Plankton disguises" episode. The main reason it's really good in my opinion, is the newly added elements to the disguise concept. Gary contributes plenty to the plot, and his chemistry with Plankton is pretty interesting, and sets up a future feud in Pineapple Invasion. Sometimes a rehashed concept seems similar, but ends up being good on it's own (Like Home Sweet Rubble, an episode I really like). But, sometimes it doesn't work out, and just feels like a bland rip-off. The biggest case for me being Plankton Gets the Boot!. It's a concept I've seen not once, but twice. One of the comics in the Comic Crazy Take 2. Collection involves Karen driving herself out of Plankton's life. Then, there's Single Cell Anniversary, which practically felt like the same thing, but with more heart and soul. Single Cell remains memorable for it's awesome song, and great character development on Plankton. Plankton Gets the Boot! is an episode I don't remember anything about, because of how similar the concept is to Single Cell. These types of episodes fail, whereas episodes with a similar concept, but with something new introduced can stand on their own.
