Yes I'm guilty of creating one of these. But I've worked out that it should never be used.
1. The Categories.
The categories are designed to get certain episodes Mr Enter dislikes towards the bad end, by choosing categories that work around Mr Enter. 'Low Production Values' has almost nothing to do with opinion whatsoever. 'Rancid Morals' and 'Unfortunate Implications' are really similar and worth 1/5 of the whole thing, which is pretty dumb. There is only one category for 'Annoyance' and one for 'Lacklustre Writing' which are generally the main reasons for disliking an episode.
2. No place to Voice your Own Opinion
The system caters little for individual opinions, other than a section marked 'Other Notes'. What if you like One Coarse Meal? I don't but I know many people do. You can't deny there is unnecessary cruelty in it but if you find that funny.
3. Redeeming Qualities are not even considered.
I like the KK moments in Someone's In The Kitchen With Sandy. I like Mr Krabs in Accidents Will Happen. I like DadMom AngryPants in Dumped. I don't like any of them but they have qualities which redeem yourself.
4. Not all episodes with points are 'Atrocities' despite Mr Enter's reasoning (or lack of it).
No Hat for Pat has unnecessary cruelty but it's brilliant. And that's not because I like unnecessary cruelty. But it's automatically an 'Atrocity' just by getting points on a scorecard. SpongeBob's crying in All That Glitters gets several 'cringe-inducing audio' points but I still like All That Glitters.
5. Mr Enter's deviantart.
Enter actively encourages you to send scorecards to him, and he puts up ones he agrees with but ignores others. And obviously you can put them on your page but they'll get little reception.
6. Enter's supporters flood the internet with them.
Title says it all.
7. Certain things are exaggerated and vague.
The way some people go on about certain episodes leads them to just award points without a good reason. What does 8 annoyance points even mean?
8. The Idea Itself.
The entire idea that you can put episodes on a scorecard is pretty dumb in itself - you don't think about awarding points for trivial stuff during an episode. Besides, that's not how episodes were ever intended to be judged. How much you enjoy them, how engaged you are, how developed characters are, and most of all how funny it is should contribute. But that's not taken into account enough.
9. Opinions are SUBJECTIVE.
Do I really need to expand on this? Similar to above, but I must reiterate one size does not fit all.
